It’s been National Volunteer week this week so we say thank you to all the Mums, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and all the other volunteers that help make it possible for our kids to play Footy it takes an Army - Coaches, assistant Coaches, Trainers, TM’s, Runners, Water Carriers, Canteen Volunteers, Ground Managers, Umpire Escorts, Committee Members and probably so many more 🙌🙌 🏉 🖤🤍

Absolutely amazing achievement by Zara from our U16 Girls team being selected for the SSV Team Vic for 2026, what is even more impressive is this is Zara’s 4th year of selection - The Australian Championships will be played in Melbourne this year from 25 July to 31 July. This week our committee participated in a Gender Equity session as part of our commitment to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for our community. Thank you to Maddie from AFL Victoria, and Amy and Kate from Women’s Health East for creating the space for debate and exploration. Next step is action planning which will lead to continued accreditation as a Women and Girls Community Football Chartered Club.

AFL Victoria in collaboration with the 10 Metropolitan leagues and 10 Country regions are excited for the upcoming Sit Down to Coach Round across Victoria.
As we continue to help create better environments for all participants in our sport, players, umpires, volunteers and spectators, Sit Down Round will be hosted across Victoria for the first time on Saturday 16 May and Sunday 17 May.
