I’m a women’s health clinical nutritionist.

I’ve also been the same weight for 25 years.

Not because I’ve found some secret. Because I did the work: read the patterns, found what was actually driving things for me, and now I manage it, every single day.

No 80:20 rule. No cheat days. No second wardrobe for when things change. Just habits I don’t negotiate with, and a few things I genuinely, unapologetically love.

This is what it actually looks like. Not glamorous. Not complicated. Just consistent.

Save this for the day you need reminding it doesn’t have to be harder than this.

Which one’s controversial to you, the 80:20 rule or the ice cream mind trick? Tell me below.

Follow Pip Reed | 15 Yrs Women’s Health Clinical Nutritionist for more of the unglamorous stuff that actually works, and comment BLOODS if you’d like the list of bloods I request for optimal health.

Your blood tests being “normal” doesn’t mean your metabolism is working optimally.

I see this all the time.

Women come to me exhausted, gaining weight, struggling with brain fog, poor sleep, cravings or feeling like their body has suddenly changed…

But they’ve been told:

“Your bloods are normal.”

The problem is, looking at each marker individually and simply checking whether it falls inside the laboratory reference range can miss the bigger picture.

I’m interested in the PATTERN.

What is your thyroid doing?

How well are you regulating blood glucose and insulin?

Are your iron stores actually optimal?

What are your liver markers telling us?

Are there signs of inflammation?

What about vitamin D, B12 and folate?

And how do all of those results fit with your symptoms, medications, supplements, hormones and health history?

Because one marker rarely tells the whole story.

This is why I use blood testing as one of the starting points with my clients.

It gives us information.

And information means we can stop guessing.

I’ll also include an option to organise your testing privately if you’d prefer.

9.6kg down in 12 weeks.

No gym sessions.
No calorie counting.
No starving herself.
No weight-loss medication.

We used her bloods and functional testing to understand what was actually getting in the way.

Then we focused on:
→ an anti-inflammatory diet
→ improving gut health with targeted treatment
→ good sleep
→ incidental movement
→ eating enough of the right foods

Today she’s 9.6kg down, and feeling great!

Weight loss doesn’t always need MORE restriction and MORE exercise.

Sometimes you just need better information for YOUR body.

If you want to know which blood tests I recommend asking your GP for when weight won’t shift, when you’re not seeing results, or when you just don’t feel like yourself comment BLOODS below.

32kg. 24kg. 14kg. 12kg. 9.6kg.

These are real results from women I’ve worked with.

But the most important part?

They didn’t get there by following the same plan.

Because weight resistance isn’t a diagnosis. It’s a symptom — and the reason behind it can look completely different from one woman to the next.

For one, we may need to look closely at thyroid function and metabolism.

For another, it’s perimenopause, hormones and insulin.

For another, gut dysfunction, inflammation or nutrient deficiencies are part of the picture.

Then there’s sleep, stress, training, muscle mass, medications and food intake — and the way all of those things interact.

This is why I don’t believe women need another generic diet telling them to eat less and move more.

Weight resistance isn’t the problem. It’s the clue.

Find the why. Treat what’s driving it. Then the weight can follow.

And yes, weight loss can be part of the outcome.

But so can better energy, better sleep, calmer digestion, fewer symptoms, greater strength — and finally understanding what has been going on in your body.

That is Renew You.

My current intake is underway now. If you’d like to hear about the next intake, DM me RENEW.

15 kg down.
20 cm off her waist.
And her muscle mass has been maintained 💪🏼

Because the goal was never simply to make the number on the scales drop as quickly as possible.

We focused on consistent meals, sufficient protein, blood-sugar regulation, reducing inflammation and giving her body the nutrients it needed.

She is now leaner, healthier and glowing, with the muscle needed to support her metabolism, strength and long-term health still intact.

This is the difference between simply losing weight and achieving sustainable fat loss.

If you’re eating well but your weight, energy and health still aren’t shifting, applications for Renew You Foundations are now open.

8kg down. More energy. Digestion improving. Clothes falling off her.

And yes… she could keep the coffee ☕️

Because getting results doesn’t automatically mean another restrictive diet, cutting out everything you enjoy or simply training harder.

We looked at what was going on with her — her symptoms, history, pathology, hormones, digestion, nutrition and the patterns that could explain why her body wasn’t responding the way she wanted it to.

Then we built the plan around that.

This is exactly how I work inside Renew You Foundations.

So if you’re eating well and trying to look after yourself, but you’re still struggling with stubborn weight, bloating, low energy, poor sleep or hormonal symptoms, this next round may be for you.

I’ve now opened applications for my next Renew You Foundations intake.

7kg down and several dress sizes smaller.

And we didn’t get there by giving her another generic weight loss plan.

We focused on what was actually driving her weight loss resistance.

I asked different questions, connected the dots between her symptoms, blood work and health history, and created a personalised treatment plan based on what we found.

That included a targeted anti-inflammatory dietary approach, alongside improving gut health, correcting nutrient deficiencies, supporting metabolic function and reducing inflammation.

As those underlying issues started to improve, the weight started to move.

This is why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to weight loss.

Two women can have exactly the same goal — lose weight, feel better, get their energy back — but the reasons they’re struggling can be completely different.

If you’ve cleaned up your diet, tried the supplements, had the blood tests and you’re still not getting the results you should be, another generic plan may not be the answer.

You need to understand what’s actually driving your symptoms and weight loss resistance.

Renew You Foundations is now open.

This is my 12-week personalised program for women who are ready to stop guessing and take a more targeted approach to their weight, energy, gut health, hormones and metabolism.

Most women who come to me don’t need more health advice.

They’ve already had plenty of it.

They’ve tried the diets. The supplements. The meds. The podcasts. The practitioners.

They’ve been told to eat less, exercise more, increase protein, reduce stress, improve their sleep, lift weights, reduce carbs…

The problem isn’t a lack of information.

It’s working out which information actually applies to YOU.

That’s where I come in.

I ask questions.

I look at your symptoms, pathology, history, hormones, gut health, medications, nutrition and lifestyle together.

And then I start connecting the dots.

Because your weight resistance might not just be about food.

Your poor sleep might not be about stress.

Your bloating, fatigue, brain fog and hormonal symptoms might actually be giving us clues about the same underlying pattern.

That’s what you’ve seen in the client results I’ve shared this week.

Different women. Different symptoms. Different treatment plans.

Because there is no generic protocol that works for everyone.

The skill is knowing where to look first.

That’s exactly what I do inside Renew You Foundations.

The next cohort opens shortly and the priority waitlist is already growing 💫

9kg down, plus better energy, digestion and blood pressure ❤️

Weight loss was absolutely one of this client’s goals.

But I wasn’t going to treat her weight in isolation.

She came to me with weight resistance alongside bloating, reflux, low energy, rosacea, high blood pressure and hormonal changes.

Rather than treating each symptom as a separate problem, I asked questions, analysed her pathology, looked at her history and started connecting the dots.

One of the things I identified was thyroid autoimmune markers that hadn’t previously been picked up (this seems to be a common theme!)

That mattered because it changed the way we approached her treatment.

I built a bespoke plan around the patterns we found, addressing inflammation, gut health, thyroid function, nutrition, hormones and metabolic health together.

And the result hasn’t just been 9kg on the scales.

Her digestion is better. Her energy is better. Her blood pressure has improved.

Weight loss can be the goal. It just shouldn’t be the entire treatment plan.

This is exactly how I work inside Renew You Foundations.

The next cohort is opening shortly and the waitlist is already growing.
