What a fantastic weekend it has been for our Under 16 Girls, with both teams earning their place in tomorrow morning’s semi finals! 👏

⏰ Semi Final Fixtures:
🔹 Team 2 🆚 Hunter – 8:00am
🔹 Team 1 🆚 Illawarra 1 – 8:50am

Our girls have played some outstanding hockey, made lifelong memories, and represented Southern Highlands with pride and determination all weekend.

It’s not just the players who have had a great time, our families and supporters have also enjoyed the social side of the weekend, creating friendships and memories that make these championships so special. ❤️

🚨 A Reminder to All Parents and Guardians 🚨

Unfortunately, there has been repeated inappropriate behaviour around the canteen and toilet areas at the Southern Highlands Hockey Centre, with damage recently being caused to the toilet doors.

We ask all parents and guardians to please ensure that children attending the centre are appropriately supervised and that they are aware of where their children are and what they are doing at all times.

Our volunteers work hard to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Damage to facilities impacts the entire hockey community and is costly to repair.

Please help us by reminding your children to respect the centre, its facilities, and other patrons. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in ensuring the Southern Highlands Hockey Centre remains a place we can all enjoy.

Today our Under 16 Girls begin their State Championship campaign in Newcastle, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they have already achieved to earn their place on this stage.

We wish our players, coaches and managers the very best for a fantastic tournament. Play hard, support one another and make memories that will last a lifetime!

🏑 Open State Championships Wrap-Up 🏑

What a fantastic long weekend last week representing our association at the Open State Championships!

Our Women’s team battled their way through to the semi-finals on Monday against a strong SEHA side, eventually finishing an impressive 3rd overall in Division 2. Despite being heavily impacted by injuries throughout the tournament, the girls showed incredible determination, resilience, and team spirit every time they took the field.

Our Men’s team finished the championships on a high, claiming victory in the 3 vs 3 playoff with a strong 4-2 win over Nepean.

A huge thank you to our team officials who dedicated countless hours to supporting our players throughout the campaign:

🏑🔥 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS UPDATE – WHAT A DAY FOR THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS! 🔥🏑

The Southern Highlands women continued their outstanding tournament with two massive wins today:

✅ 3-2 vs Dubbo
✅ 3-1 vs Parkes

Those results see the girls finish 2nd in their pool and secure a spot in tomorrow’s semi-final against SEHA at 9:30am! 💪💙

The Southern Highlands men put in a determined effort throughout the day:

⚔️ 1-3 vs Illawarra 2
🤝 2-2 vs MSW 2

While they narrowly missed out on the finals, the boys fought hard all tournament and will now play for 3rd place in Division 3 tomorrow against Nepean.

One team chasing a spot in the State Championship Final, one team still fighting to finish their campaign strongly, plenty to play for on the final day!

Good luck to all our players and officials. Bring home some silverware, girls! 🏆💙🏑
