An inspirational presentation at the BPC clubhouse from Lana and Jen outlining their recent participation in the Yukon 1000 Race as Team Heard Before Seen.
Yep, 1,000 refers to the race distance. But being in North America, it’s miles not kilometres!! From Whitehorse in Canada along the Yukon River to Dalton Highway Bridge in Alaska through some of the most remote areas on Earth.
An amazing adventure! Well done Ladies.

Well done to all at the PQ Ocean Racing Championships.
Despite a modest sized field, there was quality.
38 male ocean skis were led home by Cory 'Chill' Hill, but close behind were some gun U23's in Alex Woodhouse and Dylan Askew.
For the ladies ocean ski, Phoebe Woodhouse showed them how to do it. Again, looking to the future, there were as many athletes 23yrs and under as there were Masters 35+.
Showing the broad church that is ocean paddling, there were a smattering across Prone, SUP, OC (singles, doubles and 6) and SLSA-spec ski classes as well.
Special congratulations to our members who had a crack:
-supercoach Julian Norton-Smith (6th overall, 2nd in Masters 45+), as well as Stephen, Rick and Sue (as seen in the photo!)

Winter solstice has passed for another year - yay, more sunlight!!
Kinda, if you’re not a morning person…

The June solstice is the shortest day of the year in Australia, but not the one with the latest sunrise or coldest weather. Here's why.

Good stuff from our friends at Sydney Harbour Surf Club.

Yes, it's been a while. The photos are all courtesy of Paddle 2 Fitness, there has just been a bit of "fat fingered" fighting with technology to get them over for publishing. Enjoy, download, share as you see fit!

Thanks again for all those who supported our race.

Sure, it’s getting dark. But what better way to start the day than complementing the Paddle 2 Fitness training program with our club mid-week MAF paddle.
George, Gav, Micheal and Ben covered a nice, steady 14km before heading off to work, getting in early while it’s still glass!
