4Mile Farm isn’t just a farm—it’s a home away from home for boarding school students who are missing family, and a place where people of all ages and abilities build confidence, skills, and wellbeing.

You can make a difference to someone’s life through supporting our programs with a tax-deductible donation via Horse Talk Central QLD Charity. Your contributions go directly to the students and participants who have no other access to any funding and towards the programs you care about. Donations can be directed to specific programs using a reference, such as:
• Boarder Program – Supporting homesick boarding students attend the farm whenever they need. Helps with hosting the Friday boarder BBQ and weekly transportation of boarders to and from the farm back to their boarding house each visit.
•Confidence Through Competence – Helping participants gain self-esteem, life skills and practical skills.
•Pony Obstacle Program – Fun, skill-building activities with ponies. Also helps build and maintain the pony obstacles for participants to use as well as the end of term pony event prizes.
•Horses Helping Humans – Therapeutic programs for community wellbeing, mental health and self regulation.

Your contributions go directly to the students and participants who have no other access to any other funding, your Tax-deductible donation – Through Horse Talk Central QLD Charity, honestly helps change and support young lives.

8 weeks and we are clear of the back and neck brace. First stop the hairdresser, second stop Woolies to buy razors 😂
Still a month of no driving and Taking it easy……. As easy as Ben can 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

By gosh it’s hard moving on our beloved riding school horses but when you receive photos and a message like this it absolutely makes the heartache ease just a little.

“Today was just so special for us, I cannot thank you enough for our beautiful Sovie! Hunter needed this little guy, his confidence & riding ability has grown in such a short time. Hunter has never won anything, never done a show or gymkhana. We are so just proud of them 💙 🐴”

Jordyn saw a horse unload at the farm for the farrier and her fixation for RAMPS was yet again sparked…. So why not grab a pony and load it up the ramp onto the visiting gooseneck 😂 and then onto our truck. She was sure one happy girl!

Our pony obstacles are being created. I never really knew what to do with the kids ribbons. This seemed like a good idea.

Honestly as s**t as the situation is at the moment, he is still smiling, and Comanche wants in. 😂
This would have to be one of the best selfies I’ve seen.
We are officially over half way (just) 6 weeks of neck and back brace and “bed” rest……
Wednesdays are farrier day. By far the best day on the farm for Ben for his mental health. Thanks to those for keeping him entertained for the day sitting in his chair in the stables.
