Bouldercombe Trail Horse Riding Club

Bouldercombe Trail Horse Riding Club We are a friendly non-competitive social club enjoying horse fun with like minded people. Bring your own horse and join the fun. Located Central Queensland

We enjoy camping, and day rides, covered by Personal accident and Public Liability Insurance. Bouldercombe Trail Horse Riders' Club has its own clubhouse and grounds, located just outside of Rockhampton in the small comunity of Bouldercombe. You do need your own horse to be involved. We are members of ATHRA (Australian Horse Riders' Association) and our members are covered under their insurance.

We service the Central Queensland area and have members from Mt Larcom to the south, The Caves to the north, Capella to the west and Yeppoon to the east. We hold regular day and weekend rides and camps. Our club members enjoy the social aspects of campfires and good company as much as we enjoy riding our horses. Our rides are conducted at a slow and relaxed pace and are held in many areas of Central Queensland.

Beach Ride 12 July 2026

After cyclonic winds all week on the Capricorn Coast, we scored a perfect, calm day for our beach ride. The boat ramp/parking area was abuzz with motor bikes, classic cars, tractors towing boats and plenty of sightseers – once on the beach, it was relatively quiet in comparison.

Only four of our club members today which turned out to be a Bouldy Club Ride with a difference!! Grandfather and grandson combination riding the chestnuts and two led horses out for a beach walk. Mikey the Mini, led by a junior club member, enjoyed walking, swimming and cantering on the beach. Mikey was a big hit with beach goers.

Thanks Scott for the photos.

Bouldy Day Ride 7 June 2026

A stunning, clear day for a scenic club ride. A large herd of healthy Brahmans live in this area; but, thankfully, they were totally disinterested in us this morning.

There was quite a lot of Sunday vehicle and motor bike traffic today, but plenty of space for us to get off the road. We are most appreciative of the considerate drivers and motor bike riders who slowed to a crawl well before they reached our group of riders.

Thank you to Trail Boss Roslyn and to Steve, Sophia and a young motor cyclist who all took photos for us.

All horses were well-behaved for another peaceful day out with the Bouldy Trail Riders.
