IT’S BIGGER THAN EVER!

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Michael Jennings - Haiven Property as a proud MUMFC Club Partner and the official partner of our 5 aside Goal of the Week competition!

After the huge success of Goal of the Week last year, we knew we had to bring it back and this year, we’re taking it to another level.

Last season, we saw some absolute crackers!

⚽⚽F.T. 1-1 versus third placed Mandurah City🔥🔥
Third placed Mandurah received a shock against seventh placed Murdoch in a match Mandurah would have been expected to win, as they looked to a playoffs position in their march towards NPLW.⚡⚡
Mandurah were strong from kick off with their sweeping long passes and movement off the ball causing MUM to be on their back foot from the word go. First half keeper, Tanner Hoath, was left stranded as Mandurah beat the defence and slotted coolly into the net within 10 minutes. Murdoch’s Vice Captain Amy Ashton, playing up front for the first time this season, finished off a polished passage of team play out from the keeper, to make it 1-1 going into half time. The wind helping push a nicely lofted shot over the Mandurah keepers hands and high into the top corner of the goals.
The second half saw Mandurah throw everything they had at the young Murdoch team, including raising the wind Gods to blow harder in their favour. The Murdoch defence held like the great wall of China. Goal keeper Ashleigh Haskett was bouncing around the goals like she was ready to challenge Mackenzie Arnold for the Matildas jersey. Centre back Molly Bolton was pushing through a first half shoulder injury, using her Usain Bolt like acceleration to intercept the barrage of through balls Mandurah were repeatedly attempting.
An all in second half saw the MUM team leave nothing on the park at full time.
The last two matches have indicated that MUM have more in the tank and will need very bit of it to repel league leaders East Perth in the final match of the season next Sunday at Cabrini Park!

⚽️ MUMFC | One Club

Following the success of our first club integration sessions, we recently took the next step by bringing entire teams outside of the academy for a shared training experience.

Our U9 and U10 teams joined forces on the pitch, while our U11 and U12 players trained together, creating opportunities to learn, connect, and challenge themselves alongside teammates from different squads.

To further support the player pathway within the club, our U12 players also participated in an additional session with our U13 JDL teams, giving them valuable exposure to the next stage of football at MUMFC.

These sessions are about more than football. They're about building connections across age groups, sharing experiences, and helping players see the opportunities available as they continue their development journey within the club.

It was fantastic to see so many players embracing the experience, stepping outside their usual team environment, and enjoying the chance to train together.

Gavin Brown appointed MSL Head Coach

MUMFC is excited to announce Gavin Brown as the new Head Coach of our Men’s State League 1 squad. With a long-standing connection to the Club, Gavin brings strong coaching and football development knowledge to this role, supported by his A Licence coaching qualification (AFC/FFA). Over many seasons, Gavin has demonstrated strong leadership as Director of Football at John Curtin College of the Arts, Academy coach at Perth Glory and more recently as the Club’s Technical Director, guiding and supporting the development of our elite pathway along with coach and player development across the whole of the Club. During this time, he has developed a clear understanding of our players, programs, values and long-term ambitions, making him exceptionally well placed to lead the next chapter of our senior men’s program.

We are confident Gavin will continue to drive player development, strengthen team and Club culture, and build on the strong foundations already in place as we work towards sustained, long-term success. Please join us in welcoming Gavin to this important role and wishing him every success for the seasons ahead!

MUMFC and head coach Marc Antony parting ways

After three successful years, head coach Marc Antony and Murdoch University Melville FC have agreed to part ways.

Marc joined our Club at the start of the 2024 seasons and guided the MSL First team to the promotion playoffs in his first season as our head coach.

Throughout his three years with the Club, Marc had the team play attractive, possession-based football and has been a fantastic fit with our Club's values and ethos.

We wish Marc the best of success in his coaching career, and you will always be welcome at our Club!

The search for a new head coach is in full swing and we will make further announcements as appropriate.

⚽⚽F.T. 1-1 versus fifth placed Port Kennedy🔥🔥
After a rocky start in hot conditions at Winthrop Park, MUMFC pulled out their best attacking play to dominate Port Kennedy in the second half⚡⚡
A defensive lapse gave the visitors the upper hand from a shot inside the 6 yard box early in the second half.
Pearl Ekbote evened up the score for MUM when she slotted the ball home after a sharp passage of passing that left the visitors stranded defensively.
The team have looked to be on another attacking level the past few weeks with the introduction of young players from the club's junior, mixed and academy teams.
Next week sees the women’s team playing away to third placed Mandurah City. Three matches left, 9 points to be gained.
