How good is this, Boonah!

A huge congratulations to the Boonah State High School Cattle Club on an outstanding Ekka.

Seeing our local high school students achieving at this level is something our whole community can be proud of. These results reflect plenty of hard work, commitment and time spent learning and developing their skills.

For the Boonah Show Society, it’s particularly wonderful to see the next generation getting involved in agriculture and taking those skills onto one of Queensland’s biggest stages. 👏

Congratulations to all the students involved, along with the teachers, families and supporters who have helped them along the way.

🌾 Want to learn what goes into running a country show?

The Boonah Show Society is looking for a young person to work alongside our Show Coordinator and become part of the team behind the annual Boonah Show.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with technology, keen to learn, organised and interested in volunteering in their local community.
This is a volunteer, unpaid role, starting soon and building up as we get closer to Show time.
You’ll get hands-on experience across many parts of planning and delivering a country show, including event organisation, administration, communications, technology, coordinating activities and all the behind-the-scenes work that brings a Show together.
It could be a great opportunity for someone interested in event planning, event management, agriculture, community organisations or communications who would like some practical experience to add to their portfolio or résumé.
You don’t need to know how to run a Show. That’s the point. You’ll be working alongside people who can show you how it all comes together.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone reliable, willing to learn and happy to become part of a friendly volunteer team.

🤝 Meet and work with local people, organisations and businesses

Country shows have always relied on people being willing to have a go, learn from others and eventually pass that knowledge on to the next generation. We’d love to give someone that opportunity.

📣 Important update for Boonah Showgrounds bookings

A quick update for everyone who uses the Boonah Showgrounds.

As of 1 August, the Boonah Show Society is no longer using Space2Co to manage bookings.

If you have previously booked through Space2Co, please do not use the platform for any new bookings or changes to existing bookings.

This applies to casual riding, facility hire, club activities, events and other Showgrounds bookings.

If you already have a booking with us and are unsure how this change affects you, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to check it for you.

For the time being, all bookings will be managed directly through the Show Office while we work towards a future booking platform.

It has been brought to our attention that a Facebook event has been created advertising a rodeo at the Boonah Showgrounds this October.

This event is NOT legitimate. There is no rodeo scheduled at the Boonah Showgrounds this October.

The Boonah Show Society has not created or authorized this Facebook event.

Please do not purchase tickets, make payments or click on any booking links associated with the false event.

We encourage our community to check the official Boonah Show Society page for information about events being held at the Showgrounds.

If you know someone who may have seen the rodeo event advertised, please let them know that it is not genuine.

🐎 **Looking for something to do this weekend?**

Teviot Park will be buzzing with Stockman’s Challenge action **tomorrow and Sunday**, with Saddle Up Boonah bringing Round Three to the Boonah Showgrounds.

There’ll be dry work, cattle work and plenty of great horsemanship to watch, with **Saturday night competition under lights** in the indoor arena.

Spectators are welcome, so come down and enjoy some country competition right here in Boonah.

🐎 **Stockman’s Challenge action at Teviot Park this weekend!**

We’re looking forward to welcoming **Saddle Up Boonah** to Teviot Park at the Boonah Showgrounds this **Saturday and Sunday** for Round Three of their Stockman’s Challenge.

There’ll be two full days of competition, including dry work and cattle work, plus Saturday night action under lights in the indoor arena.

It’s another great weekend of equestrian sport right here in Boonah, and spectators are welcome to come along, watch the action and support the riders.
