🎯 2026/27 Season — LET’S GO! ❤️💙

A fantastic day of practice matches at Morwell!

A big thank you to all our members who took part in yesterday’s practice matches at Morwell Bowling Club. It was fantastic to get back on the green and shake off those pre-season cobwebs! 😄

It was great to see our new bowlers getting involved, building confidence and enjoying their first taste of match play. There were some great deliveries, plenty of encouragement from teammates and lots of positive signs for the season ahead. We can’t wait to see them continue to develop and become an important part of our club! ❤️💙

And an extra BIG thank you to those members who went above and beyond to support the team throughout the day — mentoring, stepping in to play both games, and even one superstar who went the extra mile by switching to left-handed bowling when their preferred hand was temporarily out of action! 😂👏 Now that’s commitment!

Thanks to Morwell Bowling Club for the hospitality and helping make the day happen. 🙌

🗓 DATES TO REMEMBER 🗓

🔨 Working Bee — Saturday 19th September!
We’ve got a few small jobs to tick off before the season gets underway, so it would be great to have a few extra hands help out! Every bit helps

💪Club/Green Open Day — Saturday 26th September!
Pre-season is about getting match fit, sharpening the skills and building confidence. So make sure you get your names down for that one 😊

After a great season last year… let’s keep improving, keep pushing and CLOSE THE GAP! 🔥🎯

Bring on the season! ❤️💙

This Saturday 12th September, we’re heading over to Morwell Bowling Club with two Boolarra sides getting some much-needed match practice before the season kicks off.

If you’re free, get down to Morwell and support the Demons! With both sides playing under the dome, it should be a great day of bowls and the perfect way to get everyone back into the swing of things.

A big thank you to Morwell Bowling Club for working with us to put together a full practice game day. We really appreciate the opportunity and look forward to a great day together. 🤝

🎉 YAY FOR JOJO! 🎉

What would’ve been a tough game for both players, going head-to-head against a bowls buddy they’d normally be playing alongside back home! 💚

JoJo managed to get the chocolates 🍫 with some absolute rippers in the first set, before steadying herself and playing some quality bowls to close out the second.

🔥 Joelene Laukens def. Lisa Arnold
10–3 | 7–4

A great display from both Lisa & Jo 👏

Unfortunately, the livestream went down during the second set 😩 but thankfully the live scoring kept us up to date with all the action!

Next up for JoJo 👉 Natasha Van Eldik
⏰ Tomorrow morning – 8:00am

Good luck JoJo! Keep it rolling! 💪🔥

💙❤️ GOOD LUCK, JOJO! ❤️💙

Boolarra Bowls Club would like to wish the very best of luck to our wonderful President, Joelene “Jojo” Laukens, as she heads north to represent our little country club at the Australian Indoor Championships this coming week at Tweed Heads! 🇦🇺🏆

In what has been a relatively short bowls career, Jo has already achieved so much over the past couple of seasons — and it’s been absolutely amazing to watch! 👏

From the greens at Boolarra to competing on the national stage, it’s a pretty special achievement and something our whole club can be incredibly proud of. 💙❤️

Good luck, Jojo! Go up there, enjoy every moment, have some fun and give it your best.

You’ve got the entire Demons family behind you! 👹🔥

GO JOJO! GO DEES! 💙❤️
