🔺Last night crews turned out to a house fire in the local area. Luckily no one was in the cottage when the blaze started.
Crews acted fast and the building is still standing, however still impacted with fire and smoke damage.

👏Thank you to our neighbouring brigades- Darlington, Bookaar, Lismore and Vite Vite for sending out crews to assist.👏

On average there is 3,000 house fires in Victoria every year.

👕Clean the lint filter in your dryer
🔥Check chimneys, flues and fire boxes for cracks, rust and debris
🔌Check appliances for frayed or damaged wiring
🪠Ensure you use a licensed electrician and gas fitter to check your electrical and gas heaters

Stubble Burning has commenced

Businesses or individuals who need to use fire in the open air to conduct their work or activity in the Fire Danger Period may require a permit.
Permits applications are assessed in accordance with the Country Fire Authority Act 1958.

* if you don’t obtain a permit, you could be breaking the law and may be prosecuted!
