🎀Change of plans...our Sunday Session singer Jade isn't feeling too well so Sunshine Coast-based singer Michael Gerahty will be taking over her spot. Michael's set list covers classic rock ballads, R&B, soul, funk and blues. with a mix of old and new plus some good vibe originals. Perfect for a Sunday at the Bowlo 😍

πŸ†Australian Open Multi-Disability Open Pairs Champions!!!πŸ† Congratulations Brett - what an amazing achievment!!!

Queensland’s Brett Sellars and Tasmania’s David Minns saluted in the Multi-Disability Open Pairs after a final against Cooper Whitestyles and Damien Delgado that went right down to the wire.

Whitestyles and Delgado started the game well to lead 3-6 after five ends, but Sellars and Minns were able to string together a good run of ends to claim seven of the next eight and lead 14-9 with two ends to play.

Needing four on the last end to send the game to an extra end, Delgado put two on the jack to hold three with one bowl remaining.

However, he dropped just short, meaning Sellars and Minns held on to win 14-13.

πŸ«–β˜•A huge thank you to everyone that supported the Club's Australia's Biggest Morning Tea yesterday because once again the generosity of our local Bribie community has been nothing short of amazing! We raised $5,000 for the Cancer Council Australia with event sales, donations, and raffle ticket sales!!!! A truly amazing result. Thank you to everyone that dug deep and donated, bought a ticket to the event and bought one of the 1,189 raffle tickets from our army of sellers! Special thanks to our amazing Op Shop 60s &70s Fashion Parade Models - BJ Adams, Elaine Hookey, Lyn Beaven, Jo Lonsdale, Lynne Murphy and Peter Mann! Their op shop outfits (plus some personal items) were outstanding. Also huge thanks to Debbie and Judy from the Bribie Branch of the Cancer Council, and Ariana Doolan MP for joining us on the day, donating a raffle prize and for being our raffle barrel girl once again! So many businesses very kindly donated raffle prizes including Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse, Bribie Gemmies on a Monday Night Bribie Gem Club, Bribie Cinemas (and Carie's Cheeky Chocolates), Bribie Island Community Nursery, Sunshine Mitre 10 and Cr Brooke Savige. Enormous thanks to our chefs and kitchen staff and to Lynn De Roule and Darrell Beadman for creating such a great event.
