How good it it feel the sun. We have had a great first we’re weeks in your pools. Don’t forget to keep them heated to around 30-32 degrees anything lower this time of year gets chilly.

Why does your family learn to swim...so when they grow up and start going away that they can safely swim as adults and make wise water choices?

This is one of the reasons we have taught the kids swimming and still send them to weekly swim sessions.

We are a family of kombi vans spanning one as old as the image through to the newer versions, 70's/90's/current. Seen as we have a young adult who is a professional surfer it's an epic mode of transport but know one day the children would eventually go on holidays without us we wanted to ensure their swimming skills were an automatic habit in their foundational years.

Whats your families why? Some fun in the sun!!

A little note to remind all parents to keep an eye on kids when playing with pool toys. Accidents happen quickly and pool toys are not always safety toys.

Some guidelines from our friends :

🏊 Check the age and weight ranges when purchasing pool toys
🏊 Make sure your child isn’t too old or heavy for a particular toy
🏊 Deflate inflatable pool toys when not in use and check them for leaks before use
🏊 Securely store all pool toys and other non-essential equipment out of sight and reach of children
🏊 Never leave pool toys in the pool when they are not in use.

Can't my kids just go together? Sometimes yes but often we say no. Don't be shocked heres why?

You have booked us as you want results, the best way to get that is spending time one on one especially if the siblings are different in age and ability. As teachers we use different communication skills with different age groups.

Also depending on the age gap there are different motor skills with age groups, they require a tailored instruction.

We would rather spilt a 45 minute class in two, for two siblings, or split an hour for three.

Well this is why...Making a skill repetitive and predictable not only supports the habit making, it also supports neural connections, which takes the habit / skill and making a bit deeper. ⁠

We want the basic fundamentals of swimming to become and automatic habit, which is why we practice. ⁠

We educate our teachers in repetition, habit making, neural connections and mirroring, to give them more building blocks as a teacher.

Why does your family learn to swim...so you know they are as safe as you can make them on a boat? This is one of the reasons we have taught the kids swimming and still send them to weekly swim sessions, we often jump in the tinny for an adventure, so knowing they could swim and have practised lifejackets at swimming lessons was a huge relief. ⁠
