Bondi Tennis Centre Available for coaching, court hire, birthday parties, corporate packages and more. Racquet stringing is also available.

The Bondi Tennis Centre offers individual, semi private and squad coaching for players of all ages and playing levels. All coaches are accredited with Tennis Australia or ATPCA and all have “Working with Children” permits as well as First Aid certificates. The Pro Shop stocks an extensive range of sporting merchandise, including Head, Babolat and Wilson tennis racquets, and Lotto Tennis clothing.

This wide range and our Try Before You Buy policy with all racquets ensures you will always find the right racquet to suit your game. Court hire bookings are essential and are subject to availability.

We are currently resurfacing our tennis courts at the Bondi Tennis Centre in Warners Ave, Bondi and are giving away free synthetic grass off cuts if anyone is interested. Whatever is not taken will be thrown away this Friday so if you want to collect, let me know or go along there and pick up by end of this week

Continuing sequence of drills with Bruno Nkomba, this is a drill that works on hitting a wide ball where player has to generate all the pace as the feed is just a drop. Player must hit ball down the line like a passing shot and then work on recovery for next shot mixing up his shot with open stance and closed stance.

This next drill is a “hit and recover “ drill aimed at pushing the player to get back to the baseline position after each shot. So Bruno will touch the cone after each shot to ensure he is getting back into position quickly after playing his shot. Mix up the feed with deep, wide and short balls on both forehand and backhand.

Thanks to one of my longtime students, Benard Bruno Nkomba, whose high intensity and strong work ethic greatly demonstrates how these drills should be done. I would like to encourage all coaches to share some of the drills that you are doing with your players so that we as coaches and all our students can benefit

Tennis Lessons for the new term in 2019 will commence on Tuesday 29 January(day after Australia Day Public Holiday). Look forward to welcoming all students of Bondi Tennis Centre back for the new term. If you took lessons with us in term 4 of 2018, your lesson time automatically rolls over to term 1 of 2019 so you don’t need to do anything except turn up in week 1 of the new term. If you are not returning for the new term we will be sad to lose you but you need to inform us by no later than Monday 07 January.
