🏁AUSTRALIAN KART CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
Round 3 Townsville Kart Club

First time in a big team, lessons were learned and fun was had. Thank you OTK Australia for this awesome opportunity.
After great practices thursday and friday I didnt manage qualifying well in the new kart and a new type of tyre I had never turned a lap on 🥹 Qualifed P1️⃣9️⃣ of 31 karts.

Heat 1 Made my way forward 🏁 P13

Heat 2 moved up to 15th then back to 18th then worked it to 🏁13 (+2 drop down) and busted my Rib in this one.

Heat 3🚦P14 finished 🏁 18 and I struggled to drive with the pain

Heat 4🚦P16 gave it my best and had issues with my chain 🏁 P24

Final🚦P19 moved forward all race despite the pain and lost 2 positions on the last lap to cross 🏁 in P1️⃣1️⃣

Finished the weekend in 1️⃣7️⃣th place overall and have moved up 2 places to be 1️⃣5️⃣th in the championship. Next stop Puckapunyal in Sep.

Congratulations Jensen Damaschino Motorsport for your BACK TO BACK WINS🏆🏆 and Cooper Folley Racing your clean sweep 🧹 was great watching you both.

Well done to OTK TEAM for winning 3 of 8 classes plus a podium. 🏆🏆🏆🥉

Victorian Country Series WRAP UP
ROUND 3 at PORTLAND DISTRICT KARTING CLUB

Tag 125 Lights for the weekend, 21 in the field. Started Sat being majorly off the pace and no clear answers, to sorting it by the final with a heap of work on the kart, the engine, even fuel issues and everything in between.

Quali P7️⃣ (7 tenths off 😱)
Heat 1 🏁7️⃣th
Heat 2 🏁 3️⃣rd
Heat 3 🏁 5️⃣th
Final🚦coming out of 4th, got to 2nd after lap six but couldn't keep it and slipped back on lap 13 to finish 3️⃣rd 🥉

Fun weekend with the Jorge Gutierrez Racing boys and our families. Top work everyone to keep improving.

ROUND 2 at Hamilton Kart Club

Back in Tag 125 Lights again this weekend, 23 in the field. Decent pace once my engine was sorted then was racing forward all weekend with a really good final.

Quali P9️⃣ only got in 4 laps before I needed to rebuild my whole kart 😡
Heat 1 🏁8️⃣th
Heat 2 🏁 5️⃣th
Heat 3 🏁 3️⃣rd
Final🚦coming out of 5th, got to 2nd after a first corner crash and just stayed there the whole race finishing 2️⃣nd 🥈

Spent the weekend with the cadet boys, helping them where I could with little tips and tricks. Well done boys, you kept pushing.

What a great 4 days with the expanding boys, Dad and Kym.

A lot went wrong, a lot went right but we will learn from it and push on!
I had the opportunity to set myself up but 1 little error meant I lost a heap of tenths & stuffed my quali 🥹 Qualifed P1️⃣8️⃣ of 37 karts.

Heat 1 Had good pace but stuck battling 🏁 P19 (+2 for drop down)

Heat 2 Went out on slicks just as a rain band crossed which brought the fun. On the first lap I was taken out ⏬️ last ⏩️ 9 making it to the last lap, then at the 3rd to last corner before the chequered I spun out being the last kart of 17 😱 to DNF.

Heat 3🚦P20 made a change over night & on first lap was already ⏩️ in 12, ⬅️ 16 🏁 13. Plus a visit to the stewards office was needed after I got a shunt but was in the clear.
Heat 4🚦P16 ➡️ 🏁 P12
Final🚦14 moving up and down in the train to cross for the 🏁 in P1️⃣2️⃣

Finished the weekend in 1️⃣4️⃣th place overall and still holding 1️⃣7️⃣th in the championship and up for the change of a new track in Townsville for Round 3.

QUALIFIED in P1️⃣4️⃣
HEAT 1🚦14 ➡️ 12 ⏬️ 28 ⏩️ 🏁1️⃣6️⃣
Lucky to get back up the places to limit the damage.
HEAT 2🚦14 🏁1️⃣2️⃣
HEAT 3🚦13 ➡️ 11 🏁 DNF - Got pushed off
FINAL🚦19 made my way to 8th on the start then by turn 3, I was ⏬️ dead last & completed the first lap in 26th. Didn't have the speed but managed to get back ⏩️ 14 by final lap 🏁 ⬅️ 1️⃣5️⃣

Ran Tag 125 Lights, 26 in the field.
Decent pace and racing all weekend with good results, just a disappointing final.

Final🚦coming of 2nd, turned around at turn 1 dropped to 🔟th 🏁 8️⃣th.

Also spent the weekend helping and coaching Angus Telford who did an awesome job in his big field with some great results.

A crazy, busy but killa 4 days with the

Thursday Practice 🌞 🥵 Friday Practice 🌧

Sat 🌤 Qualifed P1️⃣8️⃣ of 40 karts.
Heat 1 ~ was up in 14th when I had no where to go round a collision, lost my air box then chain snapped with 2 laps to go resulting in a DNF! 😔
Heat 2 🏁 P16

Sun ☀️ Heat 3🚦P21 had no pace as we tried something with set up 🏁 22
Heat 4🚦P19 ➡️ 🏁 P14
Final🚦20 ⏩️ 12 on the first lap ⏪️ 22 ⏩️ again to get the🏁 in P1️⃣2️⃣

Showed promising pace in my first big race in seniors, currently sitting in 1️⃣7️⃣th in the championship and looking forward to Round 2 in Ippy.

The 🦅 came through as always and thanks Neil for all your help & the 🚀 motor, it is a pleasure to work with you.
