🏉Group 4 Rugby League, in conjunction with Group 4 Junior Rugby League, is currently investigating the potential introduction of an Under 18s Female Tackle Competition as part of the ongoing development of female rugby league pathways across our region. The introduction of an Under 18s competition has the potential to strengthen player retention, improve alignment with senior women's competitions and provide a clearer pathway for female players progressing through the game.

As part of this review, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from players born in 2009 and 2010 who may be interested in participating should the competition proceed in 2027. The information gathered will assist in assessing participation levels, forecasting team numbers and determining the overall viability of the competition.

Expressions of Interest will close at 5:00pm on Thursday, 3 September 2026.

💚🦘 LET’S GET BEHIND ONE OF OUR OWN 🦘💚

The Boggabri Kangaroos would like to show our support for Liam, a local boy, and his family as they navigate life with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA).

Liam’s family are currently fundraising for an in-and-out vehicle Handytech lifter, which would make transferring Liam in and out of the car safer, easier and more comfortable for both Liam and his family.

Unfortunately, there is currently no NDIS funding available for this equipment, so they are reaching out to the community for a helping hand.

Boggabri is a small community with a big heart, and this is one of those times we can rally around one of our own. 💚

Every donation, no matter the amount, will help — and if you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing the fundraiser can make a massive difference.

Another season of Boggabri Kangaroos Rugby League has come to an end, and we want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has been part of it. 🦘

To our players, coaches, managers, committee, volunteers, sponsors, supporters and everyone who has helped out along the way — we simply couldn’t do it without you.

💚💛 ROOS COMMUNITY — LET’S GET BEHIND AVERY & THE MORGAN FAMILY 💚💛

The Boggabri Kangaroos would like to show our love and support for 3-year-old Narrabri local, Avery Morgan, and her family as she continues her incredibly tough journey.

Avery was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis (LCH) in 2024 and, after 12 months of chemotherapy and ringing the bell in November 2025, her family received the heartbreaking news earlier this year that she had relapsed.

Avery’s family also holds a special connection to our Roos community, with her dad Brian Morgan pulling on the green and gold for the Boggabri Kangaroos during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. 💚💛

The Morgan family are now spending extended periods away from home while Avery receives treatment in Newcastle, and a GoFundMe has been established to help ease some of the financial pressure that comes with treatment, travel and time away from work and home.

We encourage our Roos family, supporters and wider community to get behind this beautiful little girl and her family in any way they can.
