Have you noticed how sleep is improved even after a short yoga practice? Iyengar yoga is particularly effective for managing menopause because the chest opening poses directly address several key menopausal challenges:
Hot Flushes & Night sweats: by calming the nervous system via forward bends with head support yoga can reduce the frequency & intensity of these conditions.

Sleep: Have you tried Viparita Karani (legs up the wall) before bed? It helps quiet the mind and manages lymphatic drainage . By reversing gravity the fluid that has pooled in the lower legs & ankles returns to your heart and kidneys before bed...not at 3am! In my home we practice at 8.30pm....let me know if it works for you

Something we kept saying as we were climbing the Warrumbungles
“In 10 years’ time… will we still be able to do this?”

Not in a fearful way.
Just a very real, very honest question.

Because it’s not just about a hike, is it?

It’s about…
Being able to get up and down off the floor
Walking the beach without hip pain or hesitation
Travelling, exploring, keeping up with life
Feeling confident in your own body

And here’s what I want you to know:

That future isn’t something that just happens to you.
It’s something you quietly build — in the small things you do each week.

This is exactly why Alignment based Yoga exists.

Not to make you unhealthly hyperbendy.
But to help you maintain strength, mobility, balance and trust in your body… so you can keep doing the things that matter to you.

After that climb, my legs definitely needed some love 😄
But I’m also incredibly grateful for a body that lets me say “yes” to those experiences.

So here’s something to reflect on…
