Today we hosted Royal Life Saving Society WA down at the Boddington Swimming Pool. We had a keen group of kids get in the water and try out some new skills.

It was on the chilly side but kids and trainers braved the cold and we had a great hour together.

Looking forward to hosting more events like this in the future! 🏊 🛟

To wind up the swimming season Boddington Swimming Club, alongside Royal Life Saving WA are holding a come and try afternoon. Head down to the pool at 3pm on March the 15th to try your hand at Life Guarding, Artistic Swimming, & Water Polo. We hope this event will create interest in running a Junior Lifeguard Club in the 26/27 pool season.

This is a free community event (pool entry fees apply) and is open to all, with the requirement that participants are confident in the water.

What a fantastic start to our season! We’ve loved welcoming back our swimmers and meeting some new faces too. Monday Night Dinners are back, thanks to the amazing generosity of the Lions Club of Boddington, who continue to support clubs within their community. We’re so grateful for their help and can’t wait for another fun and successful season ahead!

Adult swim sessions are back up and running. If you fancy a bit of a swim, with an enthusiastic coach😅, come on down and check it out.

The 25/26 season will soon be under way!

Trials/Assessments will be held between 3:30-5:00pm on the 23rd and the 27th of October at the Boddington Swimming Pool. Assessments will be first come first served - to allow a more individual assessment.

New members will need to attend one of these sessions for Coach to assess their swimming skills. Please come prepared with goggles and appropriate swim wear (nothing baggy).

Sessions will then begin on the 6th of November and will run on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15pm - 5:00pm (with Adults sessions from 6:00pm).

Thank you to everyone who came down tonight and supported our club. We’ve had another amazing season, and it’s all thanks to the incredible support from our community. There are so many people we need to thank.

First and foremost, a massive thank you to the parents for bringing the kids down, ensuring they have their gear, feeding them, and encouraging them to get into the pool week after week.

We’re also grateful to the Shire of Boddington for providing lane space all season and for their constant support throughout.

A special shout-out to Dylan and Suanne from Contract Aquatics Boddington Swimming Pool. They have not only supported us throughout the season but also made the pool such a welcoming place for everyone.

We couldn’t have done it without Newmont Australia generous support this season. Thanks to their grant for swimming supplies, and for offering us fundraising opportunities throughout the year.

We also received a grant from Mia Davies – Nationals through her Local Hero Grants program, which allowed us to provide meals for our community on swim nights. A huge thank you to her and her team for helping us make that happen.

Another big thank you to Keith Yardley from Rugrats Carpet in Bunbury for donating swim caps. Our kids looked fantastic, and we truly appreciate your support!

Finally, I want to take a moment to personally thank my amazing committee members, who’ve supported me all season. A special thanks to Amanda B. She’s been a rock for me through the president process, offering steady, calm support when it was needed most.

Thank you all again, and here’s to another successful season!
