While we always hope for sunny skies and pleasant Saturdays, wet weather can sometimes put a dent in our plans!

Athletics is an all weather activity and can go ahead when there is rain about, however athlete safety is a priority and conditions may call for alterations to program from time to time.

While we don’t make the decision to cancel lightly, if conditions are ever too unsafe for training and competition to go ahead, we will try to make the call by 1pm and update via this page.
So if you’re ever unsure check here first before heading out.

Wow! What a turn out for our come and try afternoon. It was such a pleasure to see so many families out enjoying the absolutely perfect weather and getting out there on the track and field.
Thanks to our supporters Ken Mills Toyota, Ray White Bli Bli, Jetts Bli Bli and danpurdie_mp
And thanks to every parent volunteer (including those on the committee) that make this all possible for the kids.

The weather looks to be perfect 👌 and if it’s a touch hot, never fear there is plenty of shade, and cold drinks and icy poles at the canteen.

Ever wanted to help out running an event but felt like you didn’t know how?
Here’s some great opportunities to go and learn from qualified officials and help out your local club when they need volunteers.

📣 UPCOMING INTRODUCTION TO OFFICIATING WORKSHOPS

A number of free Introduction to Officiating Workshops are being held across Queensland over the next eight weeks thanks to Little Athletics Queensland

These workshops are a great opportunity for parents and volunteers to learn the basics of officiating and build their confidence in helping at weekly competitions.

Our committee are gearing up to bring a great season, challenging our athletes to run, jump and throw but also learn, achieve and grow.

New to athletics? No problem! Come and try it for free on Saturday September 5th at 2:30pm or sign up for a two week trial for just $10.

The action all happens at McMartin Park, Lefoes Road Bli Bli.

REGISTRATION BIBS – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
With the new Little Athletics season just around the corner, here’s a quick reminder for returning families and some important information for those joining us for the first time!

📬 Bibs are sent directly to families once your athletes have registered for the season.

Returning athletes will keep the same registration number as last season, with their new age group updated on their bib.

✔️New this season: Both McDonald’s and Coles will feature on the registration bib, which means a separate Coles patch is no longer required on the uniform.

✔️Need a replacement bib during the season? Replacement bibs can be ordered at any time through your Sport:80 portal.
