The Adelaide University Basketball Club (TheBlacks/Griffins) are the second oldest senior district basketball clubs in South Australia. We offer members the chance to keep both physically and socially active while studying (and far, far beyond in many cases). We have both women's and men's teams entered in the local district competition. We run a number of social events including the Fresher's Welcome shortly after Adelaide Uni O'Week, a themed pub crawl, an in-formal summer dinner and the 'formal' winter presentation dinner. Our Club commits to protect a positive basketball environment.
We believe respect matters on and off the court, and behaviour shapes the game-day experience for everyone.
In line with Basketball SA’s Behaviour Management Framework, we support the introduction of the Spectator Warning Card to help reinforce positive, respectful sideline behaviour.
Protecting a positive basketball environment is everyone’s responsibility.

🏀 NEW SEASON TRIALS 🏀

New year, new season! With the championship season less than a month away, we are keen to get back on the court!

Those who have filled out the EOI form should soon receive an email regarding trials information.

⛹️‍♀️WOMENS⛹️‍♀️
We will be holding 2x women’s trials sessions for new and returning players:
Monday 12th January 6-8pm
Monday 19th January 6-8pm

As Pridham Hall court is unavailable, we will be using Court 4 at the State Basketball Centre (new courts - 142 Rose Terrace, Wayville). Trials will run from 6:30-8pm. Please arrive at 6pm so we can run warm up, sign in new players and fully utilise our court time.

See your emails for trials dates + times + locations!

If you currently have a reversible or light/dark Griffins/UniSA uniform we ask that you wear this to the trials please. For new players- please bring both a light and dark coloured top. Make sure to bring water and a basketball, if you have one.
