💙❤️💛 END OF SEASON | THAT’S A WRAP ON 2026 💛❤️💙
Our final game of the season saw us go down 34–20 to Springsure on their home ground. The game just wouldn’t quite go our way, but one thing never changed — our boys kept turning up for each other.
Braxtan Laherty opened the scoring in the first four minutes and gave us the perfect start. But mistakes began to hurt us, and Springsure made the most of their home-ground advantage.
Just before halftime, Damon Koolstra crossed to keep us in the fight, with Luke Stenhouse converting one from two, sending us to the sheds trailing 24–10.
The second half demanded plenty of defence. The field was hard, every tackle hurt, and Springsure’s big pack kept our boys busy — but the Crushers kept digging in.
Nineteen minutes into the second half, Nick Melvin found opportunity and crossed for the first try after the break. Hope was back.
But Springsure weren’t backing down. Captain Ryan Palmer wasn’t finished either, charging straight through the middle to cross the line and keep us fighting until the end.
Time eventually got away from us, with the final score Springsure 34 – Crushers 20.

The scoreboard won’t define our 2026 season.
