Congratulations to all our juniors on finishing another busy term of junior golf! 🎉👏

A huge thank you to everyone who has turned up bright and early, week in and week out. Your enthusiasm, smiles and dedication make our Saturday mornings so special! 💚

📅 We’ll be finalising the Term 4 calendar over the next week and will have it out to everyone before the school holidays are over.

A huge congratulations to our juniors who were recognised at the Central Highlands Junior Golf End of Year Awards:

🥇 18 Hole Boys Player of the Year – Dylan Mathews
🥇 13 Hole Boys Player of the Year – Kye Goff

💚🏌️‍♀️ APPRECIATION POST – THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCENES 🏌️‍♂️💚

It truly takes a village to make days like our Goffy’s Electrical Central Highlands Junior Open happen, and we would like to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing people who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and on the day. ❤️

Without you all, these events simply would not be possible!

✨ Leonie, thank you for holding down the fort at the front desk all day. From the moment everyone arrived, you were there helping make sure everything ran smoothly.

⛳ Mr Kirikino and Michael, thank you for being out on the course, marshalling and starting all of our wonderful players throughout the day. Your help was invaluable!

🍔 Tam and Greg, thank you for keeping everyone's bellies full and the cold drinks flowing throughout the day. I'm sure there were plenty of very happy players and families!

🌿 To our incredible Greenskeepers Team, thank you for having the course looking absolutely fantastic for the weekend. The hard work that goes into preparing a course for an event like this certainly doesn't go unnoticed!

🔥 A huge thank you to The Goff Family — not only for firing up the BBQ and helping feed everyone, but also for being our amazing Naming Sponsor for the day. Your support of junior golf means so much to us! 💚

💕 And a very special thank you to Ava. Even while playing your very last Junior Open, you were still ready to jump in and help as soon as you were off the course. Junior Golf may be coming to an end for you as a player, but your willingness to give back and help others is something we are incredibly proud of. ❤️

And honestly, it's even more of a blessing when you have Coordinators and friends from other clubs jumping in to lend a hand and help clean up after such a long day. You all know who you are, and you all know just how much we appreciate you! 💚

And finally… the man behind it all.

Thank you for putting up with me 🤣 and for completing yet another year of Junior Opens by my side.

Next year, as I take on another hat as Central Highlands Junior Coordinator, I know there is absolutely no way I could do it all without you beside me.

The long days, the planning, the running around, the problem-solving and everything in between — thank you for always being there and helping turn these big days into something special for our juniors.

💚 It takes a team. It takes a community. And we are incredibly lucky to have ours. 💚

What a day, what a tournament, what memories have been made,
The Central Highlands Junior Open – a brilliant day displayed.

With 85+ players hitting the fairways, from near and far they came,
Showing skill, determination and a true love for the game.

Tahlia Peut claimed the Girls Championship with a fantastic 79,
With local junior Ava Carsburg close behind on 86, shining bright in line.

For the boys, Lachlan Applewaite took the title with 77 so fine,
With Keanu Faulks hot on his heels, just one shot behind on 78 in line.

But as the day comes to a close, there’s one more thing to say,
A fond farewell to some of our 18-holers who played their final Junior Open today.

You’ve grown through the game, through friendships, laughter and more,
And though your junior days may be ending, your golfing journey has so much still in store.

So here’s to the memories, the champions, and every player who gave their all,
The Central Highlands Junior Open has once again answered the call.

Until next time, keep swinging, keep smiling and chasing that dream,
Because once a Junior Golfer, you’ll always be part of the team. ⛳🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️💚

The day’s finally here, the first tee shot’s been hit,
With a beautiful crisp winter morning — couldn’t have been a better fit! ☀️⛳

Now the sun is shining over the course,
And the excitement’s building for a brilliant day ahead.

We can’t wait to see everyone out on the course today,

🏌️‍♂️⛳ THE TIME HAS COME! THE FINAL DRAW IS HERE! ⛳🏌️‍♀️

The FINAL DRAW for the Goffy’s Electrical Central Highlands Junior Open 2026 is now released! 🎉🙌

With a huge number of nominations, we are so excited to see everyone hitting the course this Saturday! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

🚨 IMPORTANT:
❌ No more nominations are being taken at this time.
📋 Please check the final draw carefully and make sure you know your tee time.
⏰ Remember to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time.
⛳️ Any further changes to the draw will happen on the day.

📢 A few reminders for Saturday:

🍔 Breakfast: $5 Bacon & Egg Burgers
💰 Nominations: Cash required – ATM located in the Clubhouse
🎟️ Raffles: Cash required
🍻 Bar: Open from 7am
☕ BYO coffee to get you started!

🌭 Lunch: All players receive either a Hot Dog or Chicken & Gravy Roll + a drink. Parents & supporters can purchase lunch for $5 each.

🍽️ Bistro: Open 12pm–2pm for anyone wanting to purchase a meal.

Rules will be read as a group before the first tee time at each level.

We are counting down the days and cannot wait to welcome everyone to Blackwater! 💚⛳
