Unfortunately, only one person attended our first AGM, so we have had to reschedule.

⏰ TIME: 4:30pm
📍 LOCATION: Rotary Park, Blackwater
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Feel free to bring the kids along for a play!

PLEASE NOTE: All committee positions will be vacant, as the current committee are stepping down.

⚠️ If the committee positions are not filled, the Blackwater Barracudas Swimming Club will have to fold.

This is a really important meeting for the future of our club. We need members, parents and supporters to step up and help keep swimming alive in our community.

Hello Barracudas Families!!

We hope you're all enjoying your off season and look forward to seeing you all back once we recommence.

Just wanting to pass on some information from the Moranbah Swimming Club

Hello Clubs,
We are so excited to announce that registrations are now open for our 2026 Moranbah Highlanders Super Swim Camp! 🏊‍♀️🎉

We would love for your swimmers to join us on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August for two action-packed days of learning, improving, and having fun in the pool. This camp is an incredible opportunity for swimmers to refine their technique, build confidence, and learn from some of the best coaches in the country, with a special Australian swimmer guest also joining us!

This camp is designed for swimmers who are ready to take their swimming to the next level. It is best suited to swimmers in Senior Squad, or those who can confidently swim 50 metres of each stroke. If you're unsure whether the camp is the right fit for your swimmer, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

✨ Places are strictly limited, so don't miss out! To secure your spot, simply reply to this email with your RSVP.

We would love you to share this with your swimmers and encourage them to come along. We can assist with accommodation if required.

We were honoured to be one of two clubs selected to receive support from this year's Boom Logistics Ball Drop. Your generosity will make a real difference to our swimming club and our athletes, and we are truly grateful for your support.

What an incredible swimming season it’s been!

A huge thank you to everyone who played a part in making this season so special. To our swimmers—your effort, determination and achievements throughout the season have been amazing to watch. You should all be so proud! 🏊‍♂️✨

We also appreciate everyone’s patience while we worked through a few technical hiccups along the way—thank you for sticking with us. A special thank you to Nikki for helping us through some extra technical difficulties—we really appreciate your support!

And to all those who stepped up to help throughout the season, we truly couldn’t do it without you.

The Brace Relay returned again this year—congratulations to Finlay and Slate for taking out 1st place! 👏

And let’s not forget one of the highlights of the night… the parent vs kids races! Some very competitive parents came ready to win and took out most of the events—BUT the kids claimed bragging rights in the 15m! 💪😆 There may have even been a parent vs parent showdown as well…

A massive thank you to our incredible committee—Megan, Tammie, Betty and Chloe—for all your behind-the-scenes hard work and dedication. Thank you also to Krista for always stepping in when needed—we appreciate you!

A very special thank you to Shannon—our social media queen 👑—who, even after moving away halfway through the season, continues to support the club each week by posting, creating, helping with presentation night, and even paying the bills! Your dedication does not go unnoticed! 💙

We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Shane & Wendy for their ongoing support throughout the season—it truly means a lot.

And finally, to all our amazing parents—thank you for bringing your kids along each week, cheering them on, and helping create such a supportive and fun club environment. 💕
