Western Sydney Academy of Sport is excited to open nominations for our Netball Athlete Program delivered in partnership with Netball NSW. Our program is proudly supported by Digital Realty Greater Bank UAA Group.

Our program provides emerging athletes with the opportunity to develop in a high-performance environment, supporting their growth both on and off the court.

METRO LEAGUE GRAND FINAL 2026

What a day for Blacktown City Netball Association as our Metro League Teams 1 and 2 took to the court at Netball Central for their Netball NSW Metro League Grand Finals.

Congratulations to both teams on an absolutely awesome season and on making it all the way to the Grand Final. What an achievement!

TEAM 2

Team 2 played an incredible, hard-fought game with the lead changing hands time and time again. It was a game that came down to the dying seconds, with Bankstown eventually taking the win by just 2 goals.

While the result wasn't what we wanted, the girls should be incredibly proud of the way they fought right to the final whistle. What a game!

TEAM 1 — GRAND FINAL WINNERS!

Team 1 came out firing, finishing the first quarter with an 11-goal lead.

Bankstown fought hard and played some great netball, closing the gap on a number of occasions, but Blacktown continued to fight and finished the game with a fantastic 9-goal victory!

Congratulations to Jennie and Team 1 on a fabulous game and an outstanding Grand Final win!

To both teams — we couldn't be prouder of you. You have represented Blacktown with determination, commitment and pride throughout the season.

A huge thank you to all the Blacktown supporters who came down today to cheer our teams on.

And to the families who have been there beside our players throughout the entire season — through the wins, the losses, the highs and the lows — thank you. Your support means so much to our players and teams.

Finally, to all our Team Officials, thank you for your commitment, guidance and dedication throughout the season. You have helped guide these teams to this very auspicious end to an incredible season.
