🎾 WE’VE DONE IT… AND THEN SOME! 🎾

We have exceeded our own expectations and smashed our $10,000 fundraising goal! 🥳🙌

This wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support of our local community. Every container, every battery and every donation has helped get us closer to our goal of improving our tennis courts. 💪🎾

But why stop now? 😜

We’ve decided to BUMP THE GOAL UP TO $15,000! 🚀

🎾😂 OGGY TAKES ON YEPPOON! 😂🎾
Well, tonight I decided to venture over to Yeppoon Tennis Club for a social hit with some of their members and experience the joys of having court lighting.
What a great bunch of people! 👏🎾 Plenty of laughs, plenty of fun and even a bit of tennis thrown in for good measure! 😂
Now, they had me playing on a HARD COURT… 😳
Let me tell you, after being spoilt with our lovely artificial grass courts, that hard court felt like I’d been playing on concrete! 🤣
I reckon our artificial courts are much kinder on the body — especially when the body is getting a few more kilometres on the clock! 😂😂
But despite the hard court trying its best to destroy my knees, hips and whatever else was still working, I had an absolute ball! 🎾🤣
A huge thank you to the Yeppoon crew for making me feel so welcome. You’re a fantastic bunch and I thoroughly enjoyed the night.
Different court, different club, same great game… and plenty of sore bits tomorrow! 😂🎾

The Blackbutt Social Group, Secretary, June Howard donating $1500 from the proceeds from their "Christmas in July Fiesta Dance " held last Saturday to Blackbutt Tennis Club President, Oggy.

🎾 Wimbledon at Toogoolawah! 🎾
Six members from the Blackbutt Tennis Club travelled to Toogoolawah this morning to join the Esk and Toogoolawah Tennis Clubs for their annual Wimbledon Tournament.
Players embraced the spirit of the day by dressing in traditional Wimbledon colours, adding to the fun and atmosphere.

3rd Place: Jo (Blackbutt)
Lucky Number Prize: Barry (Blackbutt)
Best Dressed: Doreen (Toogoolawah)

Everyone enjoyed a wonderful morning of tennis, friendship and great sportsmanship, with a delicious supper provided to finish off the event.
