🚴‍♀️💛 Meet Helen and Anna – two wonderful riders who have now travelled with us for the second time!

After completing the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail with us last year, they returned for another adventure, this time enjoying a customised cycling itinerary along the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail and South Burnett Rail Trail.

One of the highlights of their journey was an overnight stay at Dusty Hill Vineyard, and it's fair to say they absolutely loved it! 🍷 Their luggage may have even grown by one extra bag, filled with wine and local goodies from the Cellar Pantry. We certainly can't blame them!

Along the way, Helen added a South Burnett Rail Trail jersey to her cycling wardrobe after proudly showing off her Out There Cycling shirt featuring our favourite motto:

"You've Done It! Now, Own It!" 😄

It's always special when guests return to explore another part of our beautiful region, and we feel incredibly fortunate that Helen and Anna chose us once again to help create their cycling holiday.

Thank you both for letting us take care of the planning, logistics and support. We loved being part of your adventure and hope to welcome you back for another rail trail experience before too long.

🌏🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Meet Gillian and John from New Zealand's beautiful North Island!

Back in March, this adventurous couple booked our 6 Day / 5 Night Self-Guided Rail Trail Adventure, combining the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail, The Link Trail, and the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail into one unforgettable cycling journey.

With everything taken care of, all they had to do was enjoy the ride. Their package included:

In June 2025, Maurice first contacted us about organising a cycling adventure for a group of 30 riders tackling both the South Burnett Rail Trail and the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail from 4–8 June 2026. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

What followed was months of planning, logistics, coordination, spreadsheets, phone calls… and probably a few extra coffees along the way ☕😅

Over the five days, our team successfully coordinated:
✅ Sunshine Coast Airport transfers to Murgon
✅ A separate shuttle for two riders joining from Wulkuraka
✅ E-bike and hardtail mountain bike hire
✅ Daily luggage transfers
✅ Multiple shuttle movements to suit different accommodation locations and riding stages

Moving 30 riders, dozens of bags, and a fleet of bikes across two rail trails is no small task — but seeing a group enjoy Queensland’s beautiful rail trails together makes it all worthwhile. ❤️

The feedback from the group absolutely made our week.

Geoffrey was full of praise for the bikes, telling us he owns several bikes himself but absolutely loved ours, saying they were made exactly for this type of riding. 🚲👌

🚴🚴‍♂️🚴🏿‍♀️World Bicycle Day 2026 🚴🚴‍♂️🚴🏿‍♀️

How did you spend it?

We enjoyed a short 40+km ride along the ftom Kingaroy to Gordonbrook Dam near Memerambi.

Was a gorgeous day, with a few walkers, riders and wildlife spotted along the way!

A big thank you to Somerset Regional Council for once again choosing Out There Cycling to host their annual Staff Ride with families — now in its 4th year with us on the 🚴‍♀️🌿

Some riders started from Yarraman, while others rolled out from Blackbutt, all making their way down to Linville to enjoy a well-earned lunch together.

It was wonderful to hear so many people say what a fantastic day they had, and the weather truly turned it on for everyone — perfect riding conditions from start to finish. ☀️

We love seeing groups come together on the trail, enjoying the outdoors, good conversation, and a few laughs along the way. Thanks again to Somerset Regional Council for your continued support — we’re already looking forward to next year!
