Deadlifts are done and dusted and we shift into our holiday / transition block.

Over the holiday period we focus on integrating more of those longer, grindier session to help you sweat through some of that holiday cheer. We will be lifting heavy but won’t launch into our next dedicated strength cycles until Jan.

During this period we also place a bit more emphasis on accessory strength work, which we highly encourage you to take advantage of - from an injury prevention perspective it holds huge value.

Come January we will be moving into our Open prep, so think aerobic capacity and erg work, skill development and high volume rep cycling.

And yes, of course, it all kicks off with our 12 days WOD this Saturday!

Did you know we offer pre-season strength and conditioning sessions for a variety of team sports?

Whether you’re keen to get the whole team down or just want to get an extra session in with some mates in the lead up to the season kick off, we can book in small- group sport specific sessions to get in a solid workout and leave you with some focus points to take back to your daily training.

Testing week is here! 🔔

We’re closing out our gymnastics capacity and deadlift cycles, heading into the festive season strong!

Deads are going up on Wednesday, followed by your gymnastics test Thursday. As always if this week doesn’t line up for a max effort test for some reason, speak with your coaches and they’ll get you sorted with an alternate option or day!

Don’t forget - a bonus sweat session is scheduled tomorrow following our regular morning classes.

If you’re doing a Hyrox, are Hyrox-curious, or are simply keen to get a long workout in, please join us for an extended session with a nutrition chat to follow. Snacks and pop up shop are being provided by , so despite the weather forecast it looks to be a great day!

Supporting a great cause by getting a good sweat!!

We take health seriously within our four walls, to the extent that we hope to create positive impact far beyond them. And our Movember fundraiser each year epitomizes this like nothing else.

$9,265 dollars raised by our incredible community as we banded together over the course of a Saturday to do what we do best - sweat together as a family!

6 workouts in 6 hours, with no less than 30 participants in each workout with 10 legends completing all 6!

It is our sincere hope that each year our small contribution can help to not just raise funds for a great cause but amplify the message just a little bit louder.

Talk you your mates.
Listen to them.
Just like a workout, burdens become easier to carry when you have a little help!

Big week in the books and a big one ahead 💃🏻🕺🏻

As we near the end of our deadlift cycle we will be offering a short, sharp sprint-effort bodyweight workout to cap off those sessions - a great opportunity to test the glycolytic energy system.

That being said, you will also have the option from here on out to spend the entirety of those sessions getting your deadlifts in. If you need more time or more rest between sets to lift safely and maximize your potential we encourage you to take it!

On Saturday we’ve got classes as usual and are also putting on ‘Chase the Sweat’ with - a mini Hyrox simulation workout followed by a nutrition and fuelling seminar.

This is open to all CFBB and community members. Registration is free and can be done via SugarWOD or for non-members, at https://www.eventcreate.com/e/chase-the-sweat

📣 EXCITING NEWS:

CFBB is collaborating with LSKD to run a HYROX-style Sim event after our regular classes on Saturday Dec 6th from 10-1pm

We’ll be putting on an hour long partner workout, open to all CFBB members and their friends as well as the community at large.

Once we wrap up the sweat, we’ll roll straight into a Nutrition Workshop with where we dive into how to fuel your body before, during and after an event so you can show up and perform at your best.
