The Bowlo is running a Jumbo Multi Raffle in conjunction with out Bowls Open held on the 3rd and 4th of October. Proceeds will go towards new Air-conditioning for the club house.

Applications are now open for Round 127 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, with grants of up to $35,000 available to eligible not-for-profit community groups.

Funding can help with:
✅ Community facilities
✅ Equipment and vehicles
✅ Programs and events
✅ Community services and activities

📅 Applications close 28 September 2026.

Somehow, the old fox Geoff Horsten held on to defeat the big favourite in Wayne Richo 31-30, In a spirited game that went down to the last end. Both players played some great bowls over 40ends with no quarter given. Geoff skipped away to a bit of a lead late in the game only to see Richo’s never say die attitude fight back to make it a last end shootout!

Thirsty Thursday had a good roll up of visitors this week and it was great to see Chris Jury back in town for a visit.
Chris teamed up with Russell from Mansfield to narrowly defeat Gary from Yarrawonga and Sue from Mansfield.
In the other game Geoff and Ken were defeated by Alan from the bowls capital of Moama and Richo in what was a bowls masterclass. Both Ken and Richo played great bowls with the opposition just hanging in there to make a game of it losing 11-18.
