Interested in finding out more about rowing ... and getting out on the water for yourself? We are holding a Come Try Rowing Day on Saturday 27 June 2026 at 9.30am at Malpas Dam, and this is exactly the opportunity you have been waiting for. No experience necessary, just a "have a go" approach!

You will actually row a boat on the water, not just watch from the bank PLUS enjoy a free BBQ brunch afterwards so you can meet club members, ask questions, and soak it all in. This represents the first step on a real pathway into the sport, with a 6-week Learn to Row program available for those who want to take it further. The only requirement is that you can swim clothed for 100 metres. The session runs for approximately 90 minutes, subject to suitable weather.

Malpas Dam is a brilliant setting, our club is alive with energy and passionate rowers are ready to show you why they keep coming back to the water year after year. We are a friendly, welcoming club with a great mix of men and women of all ages, and there is absolutely room for you.

Message us now to register your interest. We will send through all the details as the day approaches. Don't miss out - we only run these opportunities occasionally!

The new roller door is in place. A bit smoother and a lot more secure than the old one - it's a one-finger lift now! Thanks to Tim and the whole crew that helped at the working bee today.
