At EFM Kawana, we’ve created a dedicated Recovery Space just for Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service staff.
A place to slow things down, reset, and leave feeling better than when you walked in.

And this is usually where things start to show up.

Tired legs that didn’t quite recover.
Shoulders creeping toward your ears.

It’s Monday.
And today is where the year really begins.
12 January 2026.

For many hospital staff, Mondays aren’t about motivation.
They’re about pushing through sore feet, heavy legs, tight shoulders, and another full shift ahead.

So this year, we decided to do things differently.

We’ve created a dedicated Recovery Space at EFM Kawana not because it looks good, but because your body needs it.

This space was built for the people who spend long hours on their feet, lift, lean, rush, and care for everyone else often without stopping to care for themselves.

Inside the Recovery Space:
• Compression boots to support circulation and reduce lower limb swelling
• Compression arms for tired shoulders and arms
• Massage gun & spiky balls for targeted release
• A calm environment where you can actually exhale

This isn’t just for athletes.
It’s for nurses after double shifts.
It’s for ward staff who never sit down.
It’s for admin teams holding everything together behind the scenes.

Short, effective recovery sessions 10 to 30 minutes can make a real difference to how you move, sleep, and show up tomorrow.

We also support your training with staffed sessions and supervised classes, including Pilates, Functional Stretch, Yoga, and Boxing so you’re never left guessing.

Staffed times:
Mon–Fri: 5:30–8:30am
Tue & Thu: 12:00–1:00pm
Mon–Fri: 3:30–6:30pm

And yes we’re now part of Fitness Passport, making access easier and more affordable.

Caring for patients often means long hours on your feet, heavy loads, busy minds, and very little time to reset.
That’s why we wanted to start 2026 differently.

We’ve created a dedicated Recovery Space at EFM Kawana a calm, comfortable area designed to help you feel lighter, less stiff, and more refreshed.

This isn’t just for athletes.
It’s for nurses, doctors, admin staff, cleaners, wardies anyone who gives a lot of themselves during the day.

What’s inside the Recovery Room:
• Compression boots for tired, swollen legs
• Compression arms for shoulders and arms
• Massage gun & spiky balls

Everything is set up and ready to go just plug in, sit back, and breathe.

Why recovery matters:
Compression therapy can help reduce swelling, improve circulation, ease stiffness, and support faster recovery especially after long shifts or busy days.

Need guidance or motivation?
We also offer staffed sessions and supervised classes, including Pilates, Functional Stretch, Yoga, and Boxing all designed with hospital staff in mind.
