Hi Mooroondu Families!

After a tough week of field closures for the Committee, Coaches, Managers, Parents and most importantly our players we are back on the fields. 😎

So dust off the boots and get ready for some football with our mini-Roos taking the fields Saturday morning and our Master teams tonight.

Come on down for our tasty hot chips 🍟 , coffee ☕️ and bacon & egg burgers 🍔

See you all tomorrow.

Hi Mooroondu FC family!

Field update 17 June 2026 - FIELDS CLOSED

Our playing fields continue to suffer with some irrigation remediation work undertaken today introducing further water flooding on fields 2 and 3. 😢

We are beyond frustrated but share this to keep all informed. Please expect fields 2 and 3 to be closed for today and Thursday with a further inspection on Friday afternoon to determine which games will proceed where on Friday night and Saturday morning.

Once again we Thankyou for your your understanding and patience with us having to close the fields.

Field Update - 16 June 2026

Unfortunately we have to keep the fields closed due to surface water and soggy under foot still.

All trainings cancelled for tonight.

Hopefully the sun keeps drying the fields out.

Once again we appreciate your patience and understanding why we try and get the fields ready to play on again.

Unfortunately the fields will remain closed today due to surface water and soggy under foot still.

All trainings cancelled for tonight.

Field Update 12 June 2026 - Fields Closed Friday 12 June - Sunday 14 June

Hi Mooroondu Families!

After inspecting the fields we are disappointed to say we have to keep them closed for today and the weekend.

The fields are still extremely soggy under foot and muddy with possibility of more rain tonight. Player safety is our priority.

We know this is extremely disappointing for everyone and we appreciate your understanding that this is out of our control.

In the meantime maybe enjoy a sleep-in tomorrow and relaxing breakfast although I know you will be sad no MFC coffee, hot chips or bacon & egg burgers.

Hi Mooroondu Families!

We are sorry to say but the fields have to remain closed.

The fields are extremely soggy under foot and muddy. Once again the ducks and ibis are only ones loving the water.

We might need some of you doing sun dances to get our families back out playing football.

We will update you tomorrow how it’s looking.
