Well time to build something new and different for me. Tried speedway with the VY, but with a bit of convincing we are switching to a Ford. Car is ready for stripping. Looking forward to working with some new people and businesses as well as some of the same ones from drift.

Time with this car has come to end. Bought as a rolling shell over 10 years ago after crashing my original 180 ans needing a reshell. She's done countless tyres and endless fun. It's bitter sweet as it starts its journey to the new owner tomorrow. Had some absolute ripper days behind the wheel but time to move on and do something different. For all those that have helped over the year I thank you 🙏. Very sad to see her go, but I hope the new owner will get to use it alot more than I do haha. Most importantly, thanks to my wife Ashleigh Jamieson for putting up with endless hours spent in the shed, wether its upgrading, repairing, maintenance etc. There's always something to do.

What a weekend.

D1WA s first practice of the year. Took the car out for its second test since rebuilding, yes I know nearly a year apart from the first 😅 . First layout was a free flowing circuit, perfect for taking out mates and just having a good run. Couple of laps in, saw the driver 🙋‍♂️ make a mistake and play bowling with the barriers 🙈 both bumpers were off but luckily minimal damage. Few issues arose with heat seeming to play a part on a sensor and the Emtron World ECU doing its job and shutting us down. Few emails and calls back and forth to the legend at Motorwire had him narrow it down. New bits from Repco and we were away 🤙

Afternoon session seen the layout change to "competition" style track. All afternoon lap after lap having an absolute sick time taking mates for laps. For me that's what's it's all about. 👌👌👌 The day wasn't finished without a couple more "love taps" of the barriers 😂. Shoutout to the drivers we had battles with🤙, the volunteers that make events happen, my mates for coming and lending a hand and of course my family for always supporting me, seeing my wife and daughter cheering for you from the window is the best 👌.

Now the dust has settled from the weekend.

Firstly massive shoutout to Benjamin Norman for allowing me to jump in the seat of his car, appreciate it.

As for the racing, we started out in pole for the first heat with Ben behind the wheel. Good battles but dropped a spot to 2nd to go over the line.

Heat 2, saw me jump in the hot seat (not before removing the padding to gain so extra room)😂 🤦‍♂️. Starting from the back of the pack, but being first time in the car it wasn't too bad. Managed to string a few good laps together and clawed my way to 8th place.

Heats 3 and 4, were a bit of a let down for both of us to be fair, but none the less we completed them and ended up in 8th place for the main feature race.

First 20 laps was down to me to put Ben in a good spot for the final 20. Managed to keep up with the pack and stay out of trouble with a few cars colliding with the walls. Pushed hard and Managed a 5th place finish for Ben to jump in for the final 20 laps of the feature race. Unfortunately 2 laps in the car popped a spark plug lead off and that's all she wrote.. he tried to keep up but ultimately so far down on power so ended up pulling in and calling it.

Not the fairytale ending we wanted but still got plenty of lap time and a good weekend away with good people.

We'll be back next year Esperance 😂 now time to repair my car ready for some racing. 🤙

🏁 Exciting weekend ahead at the Esperance Speedway! 🏁

This weekend, I’m teaming up with a good mate Ben Norman for the 20/20 race at the Esperance Speedway! 🚗💨 We’ll be hitting the track racing his BA Falcon.

2nd speedway meet ever and let's hope it goes better than the first 💥💥 😂.

Needed a new motor, but a whole car was cheaper 😂😂 least I got a spare shell for when the current car has reached its us...

First time giving a different type of racing a go. Firstly to all that helped get the car up to the current standards your help is greatly appreciated.

As for the racing.. well 3 laps of actual racing with 3 warm-ups before wasnt the greatest start, but least it was an entrance to the sport 😂 vid for viewing pleasure of and ecotec calling it quits.. we'll be back 🤙
