On the 29th May, Biggenden Bowls Club hosted Justin’s Presidents Day, bowlers throughout the Burnett enjoyed a great day of bowls, winners on the day were the Tansey Mens team, with runners up Kerry Herrods team.

Our club enjoyed a social afternoon of bowls with 16 bowlers, the weather was threatening but but most of the allotted ends were played, the rain held off long enough. Being Mothers day a scrumptious afternoon tea was served.

Biggenden Bowls Club held their Men’s Carnival on Sunday 7 th, 3 games of 15 ends. This was well supported with visitors from Maryborough, Nanango, Tansey, Goomeri, Wondai, Gayndah , Binjour and local members, the rinks were full, it was cloudy and a little breezy which made for a cool day, winners on the day were the local team, Biggenden, second was Nanango and third Binjour. Round winners went to Gayndah, Maryborough and Wondai.

Yesterday, 21/10, Biggenden Bowls Club hosted the Ladies Fiesta Fours bowls carnival, Lady President Jean McCormac welcomed bowlers from, Yarraman, Nanango, Tansey, Wondai, Kingaroy, Proston, Mundubbera, Binjour, Gayndah, GinGin, & Burrum Heads, A great day , great friendship and great food. Winners of the day were Tansey team of Aymee Bellert, Cheryl Lorken, Di Reed, & Bev Heness , Runners up were the Wondai team of Dave and Linda Cecil & the Browns, Pattie & Brownie, 3rd was Jean McCormacs team, prizes also went 1st 2nd & 3rd round winners, these went Mundubbera, Nanango and Burrum Heads.
