This week's chat theme with clients has been around pushing yourself in the gym (or making friends with pain 😈😜)

πŸ’― showing up and moving is the goal

To create LEAN MUSCLE MASS (which means you can eat more and lose more fat, and create the body shape of your dreams)

You have to push hard in the gym.

Not every session has to be death ☠️ cause girls gotta listen to her body πŸ’― but 70% of the time you should be getting ugly AF (yes, pulling faces is a must!)

This helps build resilience both inside and outside the gym πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

➑️ we compare ourselves to others and get a case of the "I should be doing....."

➑️ might have shown up when we where young. As a child we might have been shamed for looking a certain way or eating a certain way (and we carry this into our adult lives)

SHAME, WHO NEEDS IT

But unfortunately, throwing that emotion in the bin won't necessarily help.

Had some time off?

Maybe it's your first time in a gym space. That is so exciting!!!

Here's 3 tips to get you feeling your most confident, strong self πŸ’ͺ (and helping you step away from the gym overwhelm 🫣)

1️⃣ Meet yourself, where you are currently at. If you can only do 2kg dumbbell squats, then tune into WHERE YOU ARE AT. Not where you where 10 years ago when you where super fit etc

2️⃣ focus on doing what you can stay consistent with. DON'T set yourself up to fail. Can you only get to the gym realistically 2 x 60min a week? Let's optimise your time then! Can you perhaps do 4 x 30min sessions πŸ€” GREAT πŸŽ‰ let's work with that πŸ’―

I urge you to be REAL and HONEST with what you are willing to commit to.. otherwise is there any point of getting frustrated by the lack of results you didn't want to put the work into πŸ€” I always encourage my ladies to have really honest conversations with themselves. We are so good at pulling the wool over our own eyes 😜 and often we are the biggest hurdle getting in our own way πŸ˜’

3️⃣ Get some support queen. It might be a friend, a fitness class or a personal trainer. This makes the experience SO MUCH more enjoyable πŸ’―

I am officially "middle aged". Yep, over 35 year olds are now "middle-aged," πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦³πŸ‘΅πŸΌ

Being in the fitness industry is EXHAUSTING. I am constantly bombarded with fake, misleading content (over 90% of what I see marketed to Gen pop is a load of πŸ’©). As I get older, I am notiicng I have less and less tolerance for BS... Does anyone else feel this?🫠
