People still ask “What is parkrun”

Parkrun is a free, weekly community events where participants can walk, jog, run, or volunteer over a 5km course.

Bibra Lake parkrun starts near the entry of Adventureworld and finishes at the northern end of Bibra Lake Reserve. Be there by 7:45am, for an 8am start.

Held every Saturday morning in parks and open spaces globally, it is designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and entirely non-competitive.

How it Works

Always Free:
There is no cost to participate.

Global Registration:
You only need to register once. Once registered, you can bring your printed or digital barcode to participate at any parkrun location worldwide.

Timed Events:
At the end of your 5km, you are handed a finish token. Volunteers scan this along with your barcode, and your time is emailed or texted to you shortly after. Finishing tokens are not a souvenir.

No Cut-off Times:
There are no time limits and no one ever finishes last, as a volunteer "tail walker" always finishes at the very back of the pack.

Volunteering:
Every parkrun is organized entirely by local, dedicated volunteers. If you don't feel like walking or running, you can take on roles like timekeeping, handing out tokens, marshalling the course, or barcode scanning.

If you are still not sure, come down and see one of our friendly volunteers and we can help you put your fears at ease.
