✨CELEBRATING OUR CECCHETTI DANCERS ✨

One of the things we value so highly about our Cecchetti training at KGD is the incredible range of opportunities it provides our dancers throughout the year; from Medal Awards and scholarships to conventions, competitions, performance opportunities and so much more. 🩰

Today we’re celebrating some of our beautiful dancers who represented KGD at the prestigious Cecchetti Ballet Medal Finals earlier this year.

Each of these dancers performed exquisitely, and we are incredibly proud of the dedication, discipline and countless hours of preparation that went into reaching this level.

Beyond the results themselves, opportunities like these are such an important part of a dancer’s development - giving students the chance to challenge themselves, perform alongside other talented young dancers and continue growing in confidence, artistry and technique.

We are so proud to see our KGD dancers embracing the many opportunities available to them through their Cecchetti training, and we can’t wait to see where their hard work takes them next. 🤍

A heartfelt thank you to Cecchetti Ballet Victoria and Cecchetti Ballet Australia for continuing to provide such wonderful opportunities and experiences for the next generation of dancers.

✨ BALLET TEACHERS’ WORKSHOP — SEMI-FINALISTS & FINALISTS ✨

We are incredibly proud to celebrate eight KGD dancers who were selected as Semi-Finalists for the prestigious Ballet Teachers’ Workshop, one of Victoria’s most highly regarded classical ballet competitions. 🩰

A huge congratulations to our 2026 Semi-Finalists:

To be selected to compete at this level is an exceptional achievement in itself. The standard of dancers represented at Ballet Teachers’ Workshop is incredibly high, and earning a place amongst such accomplished young classical dancers is something to be immensely proud of.

From our eight Semi-Finalists, we were then thrilled to have three KGD dancers selected to progress through to the Finals:

Recently these three beautiful dancers took to the stage at Darebin Arts Centre, representing KGD amongst some of Victoria’s finest young ballet dancers.

Regardless of results, simply earning the opportunity to stand on that stage at this level is a significant accomplishment and one that reflects the years of training, discipline, artistry and dedication behind each dancer.

We are so incredibly proud of all eight of our Semi-Finalists, and especially our three Finalists for progressing through such a highly competitive field.

What a wonderful representation of the strength of classical ballet training at KGD. 🤍🩰✨

From learning songs, choreography, acting and developing performance skills, to building confidence, character and storytelling, our musical theatre classes give dancers the opportunity to shine both on and off the stage.

Our dancers have so much fun bringing much-loved musicals and characters to life - just like our girls in this little Hard Knock Life snippet from Annie! ✨

Whether your dancer is just starting out or looking to grow their performance skills, our musical theatre classes are a place to learn, perform and most importantly, have fun!

Our Saturday Musical Theatre classes are perfect for kids who simply LOVE to perform, and you definitely don’t need to be an experienced dancer to join in.

Designed for our Junior & Intermediate performers, approximately 7-13 years, these classes bring together vocal coaching, singing, acting, character work, movement and dance in one fun, energetic class.

Whether your child dreams of the stage, loves belting out show tunes at home, is a budding actor, or simply needs somewhere to let that big personality shine - Musical Theatre might just be their thing. 🌟
