Say that number out loud. We're still not over it, and it's not because of anything we did. It's because of everyone who accepted the challenge, that donated, sponsored, shared, and backed this without a second thought.
A few years ago this started small. A treadmill challenge with a $2,000 goal, a handful of us taking turns keeping the belts moving for 24 hours.
Then it became a Family Fun Day. Then a Golf Day that pulled in $30,000 on its own. And now, this year, it's added up to over $107,000 for Very Special Kids, and every bit of that growth has come from this community deciding to back it harder each time.
That's the part we want to sit on for a second. This wasn't one big donation from one place. It was dozens of local businesses, hundreds of individuals, and a whole community that keeps saying yes, year after year. We don't think there's a community quite like this one, and we mean that.
Very Special Kids () is Victoria's only children's hospice. Every dollar of this goes toward giving families the care and support they need when they need it most.
Berwick, we genuinely don't know if it gets better than this. But we said that last year too, so watch this space. We'll be back next year to go even bigger, alongside all of you.
