Today is R U OK? Day – a day to pause, reach out, and connect. Life can be full of highs, but also quietly heavy moments that we often carry in silence. As women striving to live our best lives, it’s easy to focus on strength, hustle, and giving... but it’s just as important to make space for truthful connection and gentle check-ins – with ourselves and each other.

Ask a friend, a sister, a colleague: "R U OK?" – and truly listen.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the incredible power of our mindset. Every day, we face a multitude of situations and challenges. What often shapes our experience is not the circumstances themselves, but how we choose to perceive and respond to them.
💭 Your Focus Creates Your Reality 💭
Imagine two people encountering the same obstacle. One sees it as a setback, feeling defeated and overwhelmed. The other views it as a challenge, an opportunity for growth and learning. Both are experiencing the same situation, but their responses create entirely different realities.
Our thoughts and beliefs are powerful tools. By shifting our focus from what we cannot control to what we can, we open doors to resilience, hope, and empowerment. Here are a few ways to harness this power:
Practice Gratitude: Start each day by acknowledging what you’re grateful for. This simple practice can shift your perspective and help you focus on the positive aspects of your life. Try heart breathing and focus on the emotion of love and gratitude.

RUOK Day: Embrace a Positive Mindset for Better Mental Health

Today, on RUOK Day, it's crucial to remember that mental health is deeply intertwined with our mindset. Changing the way we think about challenges and setbacks can significantly improve our well-being. Adopting a positive mindset doesn’t mean ignoring difficulties; rather, it involves approaching them with resilience and hope.

A shift in perspective can help us view problems as opportunities for growth, reducing stress and enhancing our emotional strength. By practicing gratitude, focusing on solutions, and fostering self-compassion, we can create a more supportive environment for ourselves and those around us.

We take in 11 million bits of information per second through our senses (touch, taste, smell, sight, hearing) and our self talk. Through our internal programming (beliefs, values, memories, attitude, language, decisions etc) we filter than information (delete, distort & generalise) until we develop our own internal representation made of of only 126 bits of information per second. You literally shape your own reality. If you dont like the experience you are having, YOU have the power to change it!.

Today is a great day to begin. Change can be daunting, but it's in the action that we find progress. Often, the hardest step is the first one.
