Good news, as the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) have informed us that repair works have now commenced on Wooliana Road. A contractor has been engaged by DLI the to address the two major washouts. These works are a short-term repair and are expected to be completed by late May 2026.
Wooliana Road remains closed from the Daly River Barra Resort through to Browns Creek. This closure includes the public boat ramp and car park, which are inaccessible not only due to the road washouts but also because approximately 60% of the boat ramp car park has sustained significant damage.
We will seek to provide further information about when access to the public boat ramp is likely to become available (noting the road works are currently expected to take until the end of May)
Note: Daly River crossing remains closed and innacessible.
