Five years ago today, I started RAWR Health & Fitness (Happy Birthday Us!). From day one, my mission was simple: make health straightforward, with a strong focus on mental health.That’s why today is the perfect day to launch our newest initiative: RAWR Kings.So, what’s it all about?RAWR Kings is a program designed for men’s physical & mental health. Goals, BIG or SMALL, matter for a couple of solid reasons …

One thing that I’ve realised is that you may not always have a good day; things might not go your way, you may have obstacles or problems you may have to overcome but you can always face those bad days with a good attitude and a positive mindset.
Shifting from a negative mindset to a positive one, it can change everything about your day.

Want to get the best out of your workouts?

Start by being positive about who you are, no matter how you feel, look or think about yourself.

Seneca, a stoic philosopher, once wrote …

‘What progress, you ask, have I made? I have begun to be a friend to myself.’

Honestly, I use to train because I hated how I looked, compared to others and compared to my own impressions of what I thought I needed to be.

It’s been only recently that I have started taking on Seneca’s amazing advice, to be a friend to myself.

You should too …

• Start by being positive about yourself.
• Start by forgiving yourself - something I’ve had to do.
• Start by believing in your own worth - don’t rely on others to do this.
• Hope for the best, not just for others but also yourself.

Be a friend to yourself, be kind to yourself and enjoy the progress you’ll see from being positive about who you are and where you’re going!

Flexible Dieting, you might have heard it before? It enables you to include foods in your diet while achieving your goals

Let us know below if this is something you’ve experienced before -

You’ve restricted yourself from eating something for a long period of time - chocolate for example. But this one time whilst you’re at the supermarket you pick up a block of your favourite chocolate🍫
You tell yourself that you won’t eat the whole block like you used to, just a little snack. By the end of the day, you’ve eaten the whole block and now you’re thinking of the next trip to the supermarket so you can buy another block of chocolate that’s on sale🍫

At RAWR we don’t want you to feel like you’re not enjoying the foods that you love. That you have to restrict yourself to achieve those goals. You can still lose weight, achieve those goals and eat the; chocolate, lollies and donuts… but all within moderation🍫🍭🍿

BUT… You need to ask yourself “Is the goal I have achievable with what I’m willing to give” Are you willing to; Do the work? Trust your coach? Be willing to learn?

Do you want to experience true lasting change?

Do you want to experience true lasting change without there being a cost?

Can’t happen. Won’t happen.

Seeing amazing changes in your health, physique, relationships or finances doesn’t automatically happen, it doesn’t just magically appear because you want it too, it is going to cost … something.

It might cost you …
• Time
• Effort
• Mental space
• Financially
• Maybe even relationally
• The food you really love … for a little while.

Nothing in this world is truly free, your health is no different, there a cost.

When it comes to our health we should consider it priceless, who doesn’t want to live longer with more mobility, strength and mental toughness?!

There’s also a cost that comes when we choose that it’s too hard too change, doing nothing costs even more than doing something about your health.

Stop being naive, wishing for something better doesn’t work, count the cost and go for it! You’ll be glad you did, what is stopping you from experiencing true change?

Tag & in your story and let’s see some of that hard work, the cost being paid, it deserves to be celebrated.

This is what I love about a great, supportive and encouraging community of people trying to get that little bit stronger, healthier and hopefully happier!

I’m very grateful to have such an awesome gym to run my amazing clients out of, take time over the weekend and into next week being grateful for an awesome gym!!!

Remember there is always someone in your corner, from the amazing staff to the general population - we’ve got you, now go and get it!!
