We wrapped up the 2025/2026 RTCA Season a bit later than usual, today we had it club presentation & BBQ down at the Berri Marina (little bit cold 🥶) but got in before it got too cold.

We added and acknowledged a few other awards this year with the RTCA 20/20 as well as the 2026 SA Aboriginal Carnival.

We celebrated some improvements from last season but looking at the 2025/2026 ladder may not look like it but it’s the small things that matter and we have already tuned our attention to a more successful 2026/2027 season with a few added extra initiatives to both retain and attract players to our club.

❤️ Finishing two and half games from finals.

🤍 Fourth most runs in the ‘B’ grade competition (mainly all Jimmy Ducks) 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣.

W***y has played for our club at all levels of Riverland Cricket, with several premierships as well numerous South Australian Aboriginal Carnivals.

Gerard Cricket Club congratulates Point Pearce on winning the 2026 SA Aboriginal Cricket Carnival 🏆

Point Pearce defeating Port Lincoln in the decider yesterday which went down the wire with some exciting cricket being played - was deadly to see Port Lincoln back as well.

Club Coordinator Sam Mitchell caught up with past player and local Aboriginal Artist Stanley Abdulla who designed the Gerard CC playing tops 2026 SA Aboriginal Cricket Carnival and presented him with very own his shirt.

Stanley’s daughter Tanya also has a top with her name on it, we also got one for Stanley’s mum Aunty Maureen as well 🙌🏾

Stanley’s daughter Tanya who an amazing artist in her own right (just painted a design for the Riverland SAASTA football tops, hopefully 🤞🏾 her design is the winning design)
