On behalf of Bentleigh Cricket Club, we would like to extend a huge thank you to Tim Woodruff for his outstanding contribution to the Club over the past two seasons.
Tim has made a significant impact both on the field (fondly remembered by many as ‘Mr. March!!’) and off the field, through his roles as Men’s Chairman of Selectors and Junior Transition Development Lead (JTDL). His leadership, commitment, and care for the Club have been evident in every aspect of his involvement.
Tim’s legacy as our inaugural Junior Transition Development Lead will live on through the Craig ‘Harry’ Robinson Scholarship, an initiative born from his vision and leadership. Tim provided both the idea and the impetus to establish this award across both junior boys and girls programs, creating a meaningful and sustainable pathway for our young players. Through the strong relationships he built with players and families, this work has delivered tangible success, highlighted by the number of junior players training and playing within our Men’s Senior Program during the 2025/26 season. We look forward to growing these pathways into the 2026/27 season and beyond.
In addition, the many hours Tim dedicated to navigating team selection in his role as Men’s Chairman of Selectors have not gone unnoticed. His diligence, fairness and thoughtful decision-making have ensured the best outcomes for both individual players and the Club as a whole.
As Tim takes the next step in his cricket journey, we wish him every success. We are confident the passion, care and leadership he has shown at Bentleigh will translate strongly into this next chapter.
Tim, thank you for everything you have given to Bentleigh Cricket Club. Your contribution has made a lasting difference, and you, Karn and Hunter will always be warmly welcomed back to our great Club.
