Another good roll up for our social bowls today even with the cooler weather. Greens are running very well and looking great for the start of pennant. Todays winners were coach Jason Turley, Helen Liddell and the evergreen John Fitzpatrick with 2 wins 18 up. Runners up were Julie Tyler, Tess Cooney and Allan Charlton 2 wins and 12 up. Lucky jackpot winner was Ted Liddell.

Our club is getting into the spirit of seniors week on Sunday the 4th October and along with that offering a free come and try day for families. Look forward to seeing you there.

At last some serious bowls to prepare us for the upcoming season. We thank Marong Bowls Club for the opportunity and our players that have made themselves available.

At last the weather gods are with us and we saw a great turnout for our social bowls today. Winners for the day were Frank Gargiulo, Jim Brennan and Judy McCurry with 2 wins and 11 up. Runners up were Trish Goudge, Tess Cooney and Baz Carter 2 wins and 8 up. Geoff Baldwin was the lucky jackpot winner.
A reminder of our practice match at Marong on Sunday. Teams will be finalised at training tomorrow night so please let the selectors know if you are available.

How lucky are the kids at Holy Rosary Primary School at Whitehills. Australian rep and Bendigo Bowls Club coach Olivia Cartwright is spending time there on placement as part of her teaching studies and gave 41 lucky kids an excursion to our club, giving them an introduction to lawn bowls and putting them through some drills.

What a great day to start our season 26/27. Over 40 players turned up to join in the positive vibe around the club and get some valuable practice. Big thanks to the match committee for organising teams, the BBQ chefs, the ladies in the kitchen, the bar staff and members who provided our usual great afternoon tea. Winners on the day were Jacko, Marg Baldwin, and Geordie Julius. Runners up were Mal Zadow, Ros Sheen, Nev Sonego and Trish Goudge. Jackpot winner was Barry Sheen.

Some of us enjoyed a day at Moama Bowls Club yesterday to have a roll under their dome. What a great facility to have. Certainly different to playing on our fantastic grass but good to iron out some cobwebs and rust.
