South Bendigo Tennis Club has closed out the Summer Pennant Season with a proper club night - juniors, seniors and families all in for a Pixar‑themed break‑up. The evening featured popcorn, a few brave costumes, and a 1‑point tournament that had players of all levels riding the highs and lows. Round‑robin pools fed into an exciting knockout finish, with A‑grade legend Chelsea taking the win over her dad in the final.

We also took a moment to celebrate our teams’ efforts across the season and recognise this year’s Junior Players of the Year.
Congratulations to James Rykers and Rhiann Eddy - well‑deserved winners of the Vin Fitzgerald Awards.

A relaxed, good‑spirited night and a fitting way to finish the season. Thanks to everyone who came along!

🎾 SBTC is proud to support tennis dreams in motion!
We were thrilled to sponsor several of our talented members as they joined the Giant Tennis squad for an unforgettable two-week training experience at the prestigious Emilio Sánchez Academy in Barcelona 🇪🇸.

From the intensity of clay court training to the vibrant energy of Spanish culture, this journey offered so much more than tennis. Players explored iconic Barcelona landmarks, built friendships with international athletes, and immersed themselves in a world-class development environment.

We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in their growth - and we can’t wait to see the impact on court this pennant season! 💪🎾

🎾 Summer Pennant Season 2025/26 is officially underway!
Play kicked off last night with the junior singles competition, followed by five of our junior teams hitting the courts this morning and our senior players bringing the heat this afternoon.

Huge thanks to everyone who’s joined us this year - here’s to a season of growth, grit, and good tennis!

We’re proud to launch Tennis Time! at South Bendigo Tennis Club… A completely free, 8-week program tailored for children with disability, neurodivergence and developmental differences. Thanks to the Regional All Abilities Participation Grant, we’re creating a space where tennis is all about joy, inclusion, and meeting kids right where they are.

Each Thursday from 3.30pm for the rest of term our courts will be buzzing with good vibes, laughter, and connection as we welcome families into a relaxed, uplifting environment that celebrates every ability.

Seven of our members are heading to Spain on a trip of a life time! Please support them any way you can!

14 talented juniors from across our region - Bendigo, Echuca, Castlemaine, Shepparton, and Kyneton - are headed to Barcelona for a two-week elite training camp at the world-renowned Emilio Sánchez Academy.

This is no ordinary tennis trip. It’s full immersion - training alongside international athletes, experiencing the intensity of European match play, and soaking up the rich culture that lives beyond the court. It’s grit, growth, and churros in equal measure.

For many, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime journey - a chance to grow as athletes, and even more so as young people with big dreams.

These students are reaching out to the local community to support their journey.
