To The Little Athletics Community,
As you may be aware, our former President Tracy Wilson has been fighting cancer since December 2014. Many of us have followed Tracy’s journey through his updates on facebook and the many networks he has created around the Bendigo community. Tracy is very appreciative of all the support he has received over the past 15 months.
Tracy now requires further financial assistance to fund the treatment he desperately needs in the next 4 weeks. Five community groups have come together in support of Tracy and his family to organise a fundraiser event to show the public support for Tracy and his family. The five groups; Strathfieldsaye Football Netball Club, Marong Football Netball Club, Bendigo Little Athletics, Bendigo Bank and Fit Republic have come together as one to organise this event. As a collective we are appealing to all businesses and individuals who could donate a good or service in order to raise the funds Tracy is seeking.
We plan to use some of these goods for raffle prizes on the night but remaining items will be part of an online goods and service auction to raise money. More details will follow in the week of March 14th in regards to this auction.
Tracy has always been the ultimate community member and forged this community spirit through his many years of work with community banks all around Australia as well as establishing many community links in the Bendigo area. It is the community of Bendigo we are asking to now dig deep and support his effort to fund this further treatment.
