Selling our competition weightlifting platform. This platform was made for and used at the Arnold sports festival in Melbourne 2015 and has barely been used since. It’s very sturdy and in good condition. $1750 or closest offer

Hugh Whalen has had a massive start to the year with his weightlifter progress! In January he had a pb total of 210kgs and after really focussing on training we had a crack at the Nationals qualifying total on the weekend which was 251! It wasn’t to be on the day however he hit massive pb lifts of 102kgs in the sn**ch which was a 5kg increase and smashed this 140kg clean n jerk for a 4kg pb and then went in to have a crack at 145kgs which proved too tough on the day! 242kg total which was a 9kg increase but 32kgs since the start of the year! Next year Hugh!

Melissa Waddington came this close to qualifying for seniors Nationals this year but unfortunately the lift was deemed a press out! Weightlifting can be a brutal sport sometimes but it’s the challenges that make the great moments so great! Not many masters age athletes can still qualify for senior nationals so this was a very big achievement to get this close with 87kgs!

How’s this legend!!?? Cheeky 7.5kg PB sn**ch at 52.5kgs for Nicole! I find with a lot of newer lifters one of the biggest newbie gains that can be obtained is learning to receive the sn**ch in a lower squat position! Too many people Powersn**ch way too often before harnessing the skill of receiving the sn**ch in a lower position and it’s a major hurdle with their confidence to transition into in the full sn**ch !

Hugh Whalen has a massive goal of qualifying for the National senior championships! At the start of the year his best total was 210kgs ( 41kgs off the National total needed ) Now he has done 233kgs in competition and this week after another 5kg pb sn**ch on 105kgs he achieved 239kgs in the total in training! 12kgs off the total needed and closing in fast!!
