Founded in 1993, the Bendigo Pioneers Football Club has been involved at the highest level of Under 18 football for over 18 years. The Pioneers have had outstanding success on the field with 51 players being drafted to the AFL and 23 being named in the TAC Cup team of the year. The TAC Cup has become the major source of AFL Draftees with in excess of 50% of new AFL players each year recruited from
the competition. Some of the current AFL players to have come through the Pioneers program include;

Nick Dal Santo - St. Kilda Rick Ladson – Hawthorn
Dean Solomon – Fremantle Chris Tarrant - Fremantle
Adam, Troy, Joel & Scott Selwood – West Coast, Brisbane, Geelong
Just to name a few…. The TAC Cup program also gives country players the opportunity to play in an elite competition without having to relocate to Melbourne. Our region boundaries extend from Bendigo to Mildura which include our core development areas Central/North Central, Sunraysia/Mallee, and Bendigo regions.
