We’ve been quiet and putting in the work behind the scenes and will be charging into round 1 full of confidence. Big Les “Lightsout” Watson has put the boys through the ringer in the boxing ring while ex 1%er Benny “Bones” Bradshaw has signed a 2 year contract with the Hyenas and keen to put his troubled past behind him with results on the field. Only a week and a half before we lock horns with the Raywood Roosters. Up the f #*kin Gully.

The Hyenas club limo was knocked off late last night as Bendigo seems to be the new car theft capital and to be honest we’ve had an absolute f #*kin gutsfull. Many players have put their hands up to find these bastards who are takin the p**s out of good hard working locals by knockin off their wheels and then trashing em. Here in the Gully we don’t mind a bit of riff raff but it’s time we unite as a community and take out the trash.

Club secretary Raylene “Green” Fitzgerald says the club is on track financially for once and should be able to recruit some quality players for the 2025 season.

After a well earned break the Hyena’s need rounding up for a good session before preseason. We are hosting “The VeeBees” next Satdy at the clubhouse along with a few broads from Nighthawks.

Mad Monday celebrations have taken a wild turn down at the Gully as the boys were kickin on well into the week. Half forward flanker Cliff “the Spliff” Collins was 4 days in on the bender and copped quite a bit of s**t from the boys as he cost us a spot in the granny with his pathetic miss on the siren. Anyway after a bit of a blue with Cobweb and Lofty, he stormed out and knocked off Lofty’s missus “Raylene’s”Pulsar and somehow ended up in Seaford in a high speed pursuit with the boys in blue and has been on the run since yesty. If your out there Lofty, mate we are sorry even though you cost us the game but stay safe and get back home before the Grand Final stampede at the clubrooms tomorrow.

Do or die game this weekend for the Gully vs Hillside to keep the finals dream alive. Club tattooist Warren “The Wolf” Russell has passed a fitness test and will be using his lightning pace from the forward flank. Also big Kevin “Cobwebs” Lanfranchi is back from disciplinary reasons and will add to the tall timber down back and hopefully bury these Hillsiders and knock the pricks outta the top 6. Hyenas march to September begins. Can on C* 👊🏻🍻🚬

Vernon The Viking is back from a personal voyage and ready to hit the battlefield this weekend against the Raywood Roosters. Don’t bother with any dog shots from behind as big Vernon will fold you like a deckchair. He’s not really fit, but if he can clobber a few Roosters then his job is done for the day. With a win, the Hyenas will launch into the top 4.

Late news! Lofty is out due to an arrest late last night over a high speed pursuit and will be replaced by veteran Phil Lobb who should get the job done.

It’s been nearly 4 years since these 2 dropkicks debuted for the Hyenas seniors against the Maldon Buffaloes and they’ll have a chance to redeem themselves after a couple of years yahoooin and chasin tail like any young buck. 3 months off the gas and some hard training has earned the “Carpet Snake” and the “Mull Leaf” a chance to become regulars in the Gully’s top 18. Time to send those dope smokin Buffaloes back into the hills where they belong.

“Huntly demoralised by howling Hyenas”
Unbelievable scenes today as the $9 outsiders put on a clinic booting 23.4.142 to Huntly’s 9.22.76. Huntsman nailed 10 majors somehow after an all nighter while Lofty and Sting ran riot through the midfield. LGFC looked absolutely buried this season and were written off until Reefy was appointed as the Top Dog in the Gully. The Hyenas looked like a totally different team under the “selection wizard” making 8 late changes before the game and despite the uproar look who’s f* laughin.
