🏆 BOB THOMAS STROKE – GOLD LETTER EVENT 🏆

What a fantastic day for the 2026 Bob Thomas Stroke, with beautiful spring weather making for perfect conditions out on the course. ☀️⛳

A huge congratulations to Dennis Anthony, who produced a brilliant round of 6-under nett to claim the title by an impressive three shots! 👏

Dennis finished clear of Trevor Hamilton and Brian Gunn, who both played some excellent golf to finish at 3-under nett.

Congratulations again to Dennis, who not only takes home the win but now gets his name proudly added to the Bob Thomas Trophy and into the Gold Letters at Neangar Park. A fantastic achievement! 💚💛

We also had a Stableford option running on the day, with Jenny Brown continuing some incredible form. Jenny scored a fantastic 39 points, backing up her 40 points on Friday — 79 Stableford points across two rounds! 👏🔥

This one may have slipped through the cracks, but it’s far too good not to celebrate!

A huge congratulations to Adam Jansen, who recorded a fantastic HOLE IN ONE on Hole 7 at Neangar Park on Friday 28th August! 🎯👏

And anyone who knows our 7th knows this is no ordinary little Par 3! With the bunker waiting down the left and trees ready to catch you on the right, there’s not a lot of room for error.

Adam found the best way to avoid all of that…
straight in the hole! 😂⛳

We’ve only just been given the good news, so while our congratulations may be a little late, the achievement certainly deserves its moment.

⛳ September Women’s Club Medal 💗

What a day for our September Women’s Club Medal — we certainly experienced four seasons in one day! ☀️🌬️☁️ From sunshine to dark clouds and plenty of wind thrown in, the conditions kept everyone guessing.

The course played beautifully, although the greens certainly tested the patience of our ladies! There were reports of quite a few 3, 4 and even 5 putts throughout the day… perhaps a few putters were nearly looking for a new home by the end of the round! 😂

Congratulations to our September Champion Joan Oakes who definitely put on a show with 5 under for the day, well done amazing round.
Our Grade Winners — A Grade Prudence Skinner, B Grade Gaye Peel and C Grade Joan Oakes. NTP winners Kristiana Susanto on Hole 3 and Angela Harris on Hole 16.

After golf, everyone was treated to some delicious homemade soup, with a huge thank you to Angela Harris and Pat Macumber for keeping us warm and well fed. 🥣💕 We also had a fabulous golf-themed raffle this month, with some fantastic prizes and some very happy winners!

And now things are getting interesting… 👀🏆

There is only ONE Club Medal round remaining before our Final Showdown!

What a day for our September Monthly Medal, we certainly experienced four seasons in one round! But what made the day ever better was a Hole in One. A very special congratulations to our own Dave Roberts, who recorded his FIRST EVER HOLE IN ONE on Hole 16! 🥳⛳

After an incredible 25–30 years playing golf, Dave finally got to experience that magic moment every golfer dreams about.

There probably couldn't have been a more memorable day to do it — wind, rain, sunshine and everything in between — but we're pretty sure Dave won't remember the weather nearly as much as he'll remember watching that ball find the bottom of the cup! ❤️

Today we’re taking the opportunity to recognise the incredible team behind the course we are so lucky to enjoy every week.

A huge THANK YOU to our Superintendent Taylor Beard, along with Mitch, Ollie, Nick, Jack & Zac, for the hard work, dedication and pride you put into Neangar Park Golf Club.

There is so much that happens behind the scenes — the early mornings, long days, changing weather, course preparation, maintenance and the countless jobs most of us never see.

And the results speak for themselves… our course is looking absolutely amazing! ⛳️👏

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated team who genuinely care about presenting the best course possible for our members, guests and wider golfing community.

When you’re out enjoying the fairways and greens, take a moment to appreciate the people who make it all happen.

⛳ WOMEN’S GOLF LEAGUE – WEEK 1 🏌️‍♀️

And we’re off and running!

What a way to kick off the inaugural Neangar Park Women’s Golf League! With 8 teams of 6 players signed up, the excitement is already high and Week 1 certainly didn’t disappoint.

There were some fantastic scores across the opening round, but the Hawks came absolutely FLYING out of the blocks! 🦅

⭐ Bernice Campbell – 45 points
⭐ Penny Hender – 44 points

Luckily for the Hawks, these two are on the same team… unfortunately for the poor Cats, they were playing against them! 😹😂 That’s a pretty tough combination to come up against in Round 1!

The great scoring didn’t stop there.

🐶 Cheryl Ennis – 41 points, helping the Doggies secure their first win.

🐻 Gaye Peel – 38 points, playing her part in a winning start for the Bears.

⚫⚪ Denise Turner – 38 points, helping the Magpies get their season underway with a win.

A brilliant opening week with plenty of laughs, some great golf and, most importantly, wonderful team spirit already starting to show. 💕🏌️‍♀️

We also had a few ladies unable to get their round in due to illness. We’re thinking of you and wishing you all a speedy recovery — hopefully we’ll see you back out on the course very soon. 💗

Round 1 is done… now bring on Round 2!

⛳ September Monthly Medal Results 🏅

What a day for our September Monthly Medal — we certainly experienced four seasons in one round! ☀️🌧️💨

We started with a little warmth and sunshine before Mother Nature decided to throw everything at us — winds reaching around 47km/h, rain coming in sideways, and conditions that certainly tested everyone out on course!

🏆 September Monthly Medal Winner – Penny Hendy
Congratulations to Penny Hendy, who battled through the conditions and came out on top, claiming the Monthly Medal on a countback! 👏💛

Our Stableford competition was just as close, with three players finishing on 34 points.
Gary Skinner took the honours on a countback from Robert Stonehouse and Brett Stewart. A fantastic effort in some very challenging conditions!

🕳️ BUT THE MOMENT OF THE DAY… A HOLE IN ONE! 🎯

COMMUNITY NOTICE – INFORMATION SOUGHT

Unfortunately, over the weekend Neangar Park Golf Club was the target of vandalism, resulting in significant damage to club property, including our golf carts and surrounding areas.

It is incredibly disappointing to see this kind of senseless damage occur at our club — a place that is enjoyed and cared for by so many within our community.

We are reaching out to our members, neighbours and wider community for assistance. If you witnessed anything unusual or suspicious in or around the club over the weekend, or if you hear or become aware of any information that may assist, we ask that you please get in touch with the club.

Even something that may seem insignificant could be helpful.

We kindly ask that information is shared directly with the club rather than posted publicly or speculated about on social media.

Thank you to our members and community for your continued support and for helping us look after Neangar Park. 💚💛

🥄⛳ SILVER SPOON FINAL ⛳🥄

A fantastic result in our 2026 Silver Spoon Final, with four ladies earning their place in the final battle:

⭐ Kirsty Draper
⭐ Kristiana Susanto
⭐ Alex Hurley
⭐ Helen Leech

Unfortunately, Helen was unable to make the final, leaving Kirsty, Kristiana and Alex to battle it out for the honour of representing Neangar Park at the State Final.

And it was Kirsty Draper who rose to the occasion! 👏💚💛

Kirsty put together a terrific round of 36 Stableford points to take the honours and earn her ticket to the Silver Spoon State Final. 🥄🏆

Kirsty will now proudly represent Neangar Park Golf Club at Gardiners Run Golf Course on 9th November.

A huge congratulations to all four of our finalists on making it through, and especially to Kirsty on a wonderful win.

Good luck at the State Final, Kirsty — the whole Neangar Park family will be cheering you on! 💚💛⛳️
