2024 Event Update

Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our hands, the horses in action events will not be run at this year's show.

Please keep an eye out with our friends at Bonnie Rock PC, and EWRC, who are working hard behind the scenes to get an event up and running to make up for it.

We will keep you updated as we know more.

PLEASE NOTE
While we completely understand and sympathise with the disappointment surrounding the decision to not run the horse events, we must understand that sometimes things are simply out of everyone's hands.
We all know that the wheatbelt has faced several issues this summer, power outages, blistering heat, no rain to name a few, which of course cause a knock on affect. The above issues also lead to the problem of watering the oval, which cannot be done without power or water!

Please remember that we are all only human, and doing our best to make informed decisions on the information we are given. This is not any one persons, or single groups doing. The fact is that we use the oval once a year, and we are all very well aware of the damage our horses do to grass, especially jumping!

It is a far better call to cancel a portion of the Mt Marshall Show for one year, and know that it won't be wrecked or cause issues amongst the facilities users for future years.

This call isn't a "horses are never coming back" situation - it is one made around the circumstances that are apparent for THIS year, and while unfortunate, we all know that mother nature has her own plans that we have to work with.

We are excited to know that the grounds will be in great condition for next year, and for one, I am looking forward to working with the MM committee for next year's event.

As you may have seen this week, the Mt Marshall Show has unfortunately been cancelled for 2022.
Megan and I have been working hard behind the scenes trying to organise another event on either the same weekend, or one near the original date so we can still have a competition out here for all of our Wheatbelt riders.
Thank you for all of your support at our previous shows, it really sucks to see so many events out here cancelled in recent times. We will let everyone know when we have something solid in place, and hope to still see you all at the new TBC event!

🛑IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE🛑

As this event is run under the RASWA banner, rather than a PCAWA event, proof of vaccination requirements WILL BE IMPOSED for this event. All attendees 16+ MUST provide proof of vaccination with their entry form (this will be noted on the forms when released).
Entry forms will NOT be accepted without your proof of vaccination certificates, any helpers must provide a copy of theirs also.

At this point in time we will be running as usual with these added requirements. As this is such a fluid situation, we will continue to post any updates to this page until show day.

We apologise for any inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding.

Time to mark your calendars for next year! Preparations for our 2022 event will be commencing shortly, and we can't wait...

Mt Marshall Show Horse Events 2021
The 90th Mt Marshall Community Show was an absolutely amazing day with lots of attractions and a fantastic turn out. The horse events attracted 49 entries. The events were very well supported which saw an increase in numbers this year so much so that we had to squeeze in two dressage arenas on the Bencubbin Grass Oval as well as the show jumping area.
Riders and their families came from Dowerin, Kondut, Bonnie Rock, Mukinbudin, Merredin, Koorda, Wyalkatchem, Nungarin, Gabbin, Bakers Hill, Piawaning, Northam, Petrudor, Mt Caroline, Corrigin, Cunderdin, Tammin and Mumberkine which contributed to a truly special day for all. Thank you so much to each and every one of the riders and their families for attending and supporting the show and making it a huge success. Everyone pitched in and helped in some way or another and it was so very appreciated by the organisers.
Thank you to our amazing sponsors. You made the show so very special and gave all the riders a chance at winning a rug or some fantastic prizes.
