💙🤍 BENALLA AT STATE 💙🤍
Well done to our Benalla Little Athletics athletes who competed at the Track and Field State Championships this weekend!
⭐ Max Yuen Francis (U13) – 9th in the 400m with a PB
⭐ Josie Yuen Francis (U11) – 10th in Shot Put
⭐ Elsie Cavill (U11) – PBs in both events, 13th in the 1500m and 10th in the 400m
⭐ Isabelle Lawlor (U11) – proudly competing in High Jump
Just qualifying for the State Championships is an incredible achievement and we’re so proud of the way these athletes represented Benalla. Fantastic effort by all! 👏
The Knoxfield Atheltics track was a beautiful venue and weather ideal for some great performances 🏃‍♀️🏃👏

Wow, we sure had some PB’s broken for our Pentathlon night!! There were some very determined looking athletes all trying their best tonight, well done!

🏃‍♂️🏅 Benalla Little Athletics – Pentathlon Night This Friday! 🏅🏃‍♀️
This Friday we’re running a Pentathlon, a fun multi-event competition where each age group competes in five events.
Pentathlon is a multi-event format, but practically it’s not too different from our normal weekly competition. The key difference:
✅ Athletes must compete in all five events for their age group:
Hurdles • Sprint • Distance • Jump • Throw
✅ Points are awarded based on performance in each event
✅ Scored separately for each age group, boys and Event Schedule by Age Group

• 60m Hurdles (45cm)

This Friday we will be running program 2, hurdle night. Hurdle set up will begin at 4.40pm, help to set up would be much appreciated this week as we are low on committee members, and many hands will make lighter work in the heat.

What a fantastic weekend in Bendigo for the Region Track & Field Carnival! Benalla Little Athletics was proudly represented by 8 athletes, our largest representation in years.
It was great to see our athletes competing against strong fields from across the region on a first class track, showing determination, sportsmanship and plenty of Benalla spirit. Our athletes showed their grit by doing plenty of personal bests in very hot conditions! We have had several athletes qualify for State Championships, we will announce these once fields are finalised.
A big thank you to the parents and families who travelled to support the team.

Our weekly program resumes tomorrow evening at 5:00 pm and we can’t wait to see everyone back after the summer break.
☀️ With warm weather expected, any help setting up shade shelters earlier would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at 5pm this Friday. Lines are marked, and we can’t wait to welcome all our athletes back to the second part of our season.
🏃‍♀️ 7 weeks left of Little Athletics, our presentation night and AGM will be held on 20th March.
🏃🏼‍♂️ set up help would be appreciated this week if you can come a little earlier to get shade shelters at events
🏃🏼 this weeks program will be posted tonight, will make some modifications due to warm weather.

There is a terrific Fun Run coming up in our area on Sunday 22nd March in Wangaratta. Our athletes and families can enter in a range of events, from the 2km Primary School challenge all the way up to a marathon. Timing chips, great atmosphere and finisher medallions for all. You can also sign up as part of a community team.
