Best of luck to students from St Joseph's and Benalla P12 Primary schools holding their school carnivals this week.
We are able to line mark earlier than our season start this year thanks to a grant from Benalla Rural City Council for our new line marking machine and paint. 🙌

Side note: seeking expressions of interest from people wanting to help their community and need a change of scenery from the gym for their glute workouts, 1.2km pushing 30kg guaranteed to achieve results 😂

🏃 🏃‍♀️STATE CROSS COUNTRY & TRACK PREP! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
A huge congratulations to Max and Elsie, who represented Benalla Little Athletics at the State Cross Country Championships held at Lake Dewar on Saturday, finishing 25th and 30th respectively. A fantastic effort at state level — well done! 👏💙
It was also a busy weekend back at Churchill Reserve, with the track freshly marked and ready for the upcoming school athletics carnivals. 🙌
We were very excited to put our new line marking machine to work for the first time! A huge thank you to Benalla Rural City Council for the grant that made this purchase possible. It will make a big difference to preparing our track for Little Aths and local school events.
There are school carnivals being held in the next couple of months, with the Little Athletics season kicking off mid October 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🏃‍♀️💙 NCR Region Cross Country – Moama 💙🏃‍♂️
A fantastic day for our Benalla Little Athletics team at the NCR Region Cross Country Championships in Moama!
Our athletes showed plenty of determination, resilience and team spirit, with lots of smiles and encouragement for one another throughout the day.
Congratulations to everyone who competed, with everyone qualified for the Victorian State Cross Country Championships U9 and up.
We left sunny Benalla for a very foggy Moama, but the sun did show in the afternoon!

🏃‍♀️Season relay night and presentations/AGM tomorrow night 5pm!
Looking forward to seeing all our athletes and families.
We will be doing some fun mixed relays involving kids and parents, Easter egg hunt, and free BBQ.

💙🤍 BENALLA AT STATE 💙🤍
Well done to our Benalla Little Athletics athletes who competed at the Track and Field State Championships this weekend!
⭐ Max Yuen Francis (U13) – 9th in the 400m with a PB
⭐ Josie Yuen Francis (U11) – 10th in Shot Put
⭐ Elsie Cavill (U11) – PBs in both events, 13th in the 1500m and 10th in the 400m
⭐ Isabelle Lawlor (U11) – proudly competing in High Jump
Just qualifying for the State Championships is an incredible achievement and we’re so proud of the way these athletes represented Benalla. Fantastic effort by all! 👏
The Knoxfield Atheltics track was a beautiful venue and weather ideal for some great performances 🏃‍♀️🏃👏

🏃‍♂️🏅 Benalla Little Athletics – Pentathlon Night This Friday! 🏅🏃‍♀️
This Friday we’re running a Pentathlon, a fun multi-event competition where each age group competes in five events.
Pentathlon is a multi-event format, but practically it’s not too different from our normal weekly competition. The key difference:
✅ Athletes must compete in all five events for their age group:
Hurdles • Sprint • Distance • Jump • Throw
✅ Points are awarded based on performance in each event
✅ Scored separately for each age group, boys and Event Schedule by Age Group

This Friday we will be running program 2, hurdle night. Hurdle set up will begin at 4.40pm, help to set up would be much appreciated this week as we are low on committee members, and many hands will make lighter work in the heat.
